  Imam Ali’s Sermon on Recognition of Oneself is the Key to Appreciation of One’s Creator Rasool Allahsaww. said, ‘Ya Alia.s. no one has recognised youa.s. except Allahswt. and myselfa.s. and no one has recognised mesaww. except Allahswt and yourselfa.s. and no one has appreciated Allahswt except yourselfa.s. and myselfsaww., then on what grounds do people claim our recognition? Hazrat Imam Alia.s. ays, one who recognises oneself is a!le to appreciate one"s creator . #he recognition of ‘oneself" is to understand his origin and $nal destination, in other words to understand from where he has come from and where he stands currently and where he is going to end%up. #his is su!&ected to the ac'nowledgment of one"s that reality, which is ‘con$ned entity" !y realising this and then appreciation of Allahswt."s $rst e(er !ounty which enlightened the dar'ness )including the con$ned entity*.  #hen !y the command of ‘+a&i!%ul%wa&udswt" )Allahswt* the ‘-oor" of Hisswt !ounty was re(ealed for !ene$ts of others. #his )-oor* re(ealed in the form of a ‘-utah"/ which is the focus and source of all uni(erses and engulfs all that exits and is the spirit of all souls and is the foundation of all !ounties0. He )Allahswt* is the 1 irst ign and the hidden treasure of that ‘2neness" which cannot !e di(ided, this is due to the fact that Allahswt as an 3ntity that cannot !e recognised !y His creatur es. #hus, He could only !e appreciated thro ugh Hisswt attri!utes. And ‘-utah" is the attri!utes of Allahswt and it pro(ides proof for His existence as Allahswt is recognised through the re(elation of His attri!utes )‘-utah"*. And that ‘-utah" exits due to the !lessings of the ‘undi(ida!le 2ne" and radiates in the ‘'y of 4ohammad iya". And 5rophet 4ohammedsaww has pointed out to this (ery fact that if weas did not exit then Allahswt would not !e appreciated and weas would not !e recognised if Allahswt were not present. #hus ‘+o" )Allahswt* is ‘+o" that ‘-oor" from which ‘all -oors", ha(e originated and ‘+o" is that ‘undi(ida!le 2neness" from which all other entities ha(e come into existance. And ‘+o" is that ‘Hidden treasure" from which other treasures ha(e surfaced and ‘+o" is that ‘+isdom" from which prudence ha(e gained 'nowledge. And ‘+o" is that ‘-afs6" from wher e all other !eings ha(e gained their existence. And ‘+o" is that ‘7ooh" which possesses the details a!out all the ‘unseen and hidden" and ‘ +o" is that ‘8u rsy" who engulfs all the s'ies and the earth. And ‘+o" is that grand ‘Arsh" +ho"s 'nowledge and greatness encircles all that exists. Rasool Allahsaww. said, Ya Alia.s. no one has recognised youa.s. except Allahswt. and myselfa.s. and no one has recognised mesaww. except Allahswt and yourselfa.s. and no one has appreciated Allahswt except yourselfa.s. and myselfsaww., then on what grounds do people claim our recognition?Hazrat Imam Alia.s. Says, one who recognises oneself is able to appreciate ones creator. The recognition of oneself is to understand his origin and final destination, in other words to understand from where he has come from and where he stands currently and where he is going to end-up. This is subjected to the acknowledgment of ones that reality, which is confined entity by realising this and then appreciation of Allahswt.s first ever bounty which enlightened the darkness (including the confined entity).Then by the command of Wajib-ul-wajudswt2 (Allahswt) the Noor of Hisswt bounty was revealed for benefits of others. This (Noor) revealed in the form of a Nuqtah3 which is the focus and source of all universes and engulfs all that exits and is the spirit of all souls and is the foundation of all bounties4.He (Allahswt) is the First Sign and the hidden treasure of that Oneness which cannot be divided, this is due to the fact that Allahswt as an Entity that cannot be recognised by His creatures. Thus, He could only be appreciated through Hisswt attributes. And Nuqtah is the attributes of Allahswt and it provides proof for His existence as Allahswt is recognised through the revelation of His attributes (Nuqtah). And that Nuqtah exits due to the blessings of the undividable One and radiates in the Sky of Mohammadiya. And Prophet Mohammedsaww has pointed out to this very fact that if weas did not exit then Allahswt would not be appreciated and weas would not be recognised if Allahswt were not present. Thus Wo (Allahswt) is Wo that Noor from which all Noors, have originated and Wo is that undividable Oneness from which all other entities have come into existance. And Wo is that Hidden treasure from which other treasures have surfaced and Wo is that Wisdom from which prudence have gained knowledge. And Wo is that Nafs5 from where all other beings have gained their existence. And Wo is that Looh which possesses the details about all the unseen and hidden and Wo is that Kursy who engulfs all the skies and the earth. And Wo is that grand Arsh Whos knowledge and greatness encircles all that exists. And Wo is that Eye from where all visions have gained1 Nahjul Asrar, Man Arafa Nafsa Faqad Arafa Rabb2 The One who is Eternal, Whos existence is compulsory-Allahswt.3 Nuqtah-e-Wahid- a Divine Origin4 Noor al Shabah5 Entity786-92-110their sight. And Wo is that Authenticity which has been referred to by all creations, similar to the verdict of Wajib-ul-wajudswt with the undividable Unity. Thus, the most knowledgeable intellectuals6 wisdom is incapable to reach near the reality of Mohammedsaww and Aliass Divine characteristics or the even the realm of that reality! As the gate to their realm is covered by the divine curtains and you are not given knowledge about themas but very little.6 Urafa
