NETA recognizes that the ideal maintenance program is reliability-based, unique to each plant and to each piece of equipment. In the absence of this information and in response to requests for a maintenance timetable, NETA’s Standards Review Council presents the following time-based maintenance schedule and matrix.

One should contact a NETA Full-Member company for a reliability-based evaluation.

The following matrix is to be used in conjunction with NETA’s Frequency of Maintenance Tests table. Application of the matrix is recognized as a guide only.

Specific condition, criticality, and reliability must be determined to correctly apply the matrix. Application of the matrix, along with the culmination of historical testing data and trending, should provide a quality electrical preventive maintenance program.

RFP # 05-112-3120 RFP Questions and Responses

1. What will the maximum “off line” time that will be allowed before a back-up generator will be required? Response: At this time, 30 minutes will be the maximum down time to take the generator off line. Any longer, a temporary generator will need to be installed.

2. Who is responsible for UPS maintenance and emergency response and repair?

Response: Liebert currently has a maintenance contract with the Commission that covers the PDU’s and UPS’s.

3. Section 5.6 – Use of Sub-Contractors (Page 12): Is the use of a sub-contractor

required for the electrical testing? The first line implies that the use of sub-contractors are an option for the contractor. Response: See response to Question #4

4. Third party testing was removed from the existing contract for the period of 3 years plus two (2) 2-year extensions for a total of 7 years. Is the 3rd party testing to be included on this contract? Response: Third party electrical testing will be required as specified in the RFP.

Electrical testing scheduled in 4/2005 to be revised by addendum to be within the contract term.
