Karen Buchanan was an interior design student at Antonelli College while I was the acting de-

partment chair for the program, and I had the privilege to be her instructor in several classes. Ms. Bu-

chanan was an exceptional student throughout her time at Antonelli College. She was extremely dedi-

cated to her education, and balanced her life responsibilities while maintaining a 4.0 gpa academically.

She was responsible, dedicated, and organized in her work.

Ms. Buchanan’s design work was thoughtful and empathetic to the user. She consistently main-

tained a balance of form and function. She approached her projects with intelligence, carefully analyzing

the needs, and designing to meet those functional requirements along while making the space attrac-

tive. She is a highly creative individual who developed beautiful and appropriate aesthetics.

Personally, Ms. Buchanan is kind and generous to those around her, always offering her assis-

tance as needed and helped to maintain high morale among her classmates. She works well inde-

pendently, but also thrives within a team. She is the kind of person who brings out the best of those

around her, although she would never take credit for it. In all of my interaction with Karen Buchanan, I

found her to be an extremely capable individual, who I would highly recommend without any hesitation.
