March 23, 2012 To Whom It May Concern: I am very pleased to write this letter of recommendation for Alisher Siddikov. Alisher was selected to do a summer internship in 2009. We were fortunate to have him return for a fall semester internship. During the summer Alisher was able to attend the Northwest Community Development Institute which draws community and economic development practitioners from all over the country. He was out of his regular learning environment, but fully participated in the classroom and in networking with other participants. He was able to gain knowledge in strategic planning, infrastructure for community and economic development, downtown revitalization strategies, working with the media and other topics. Alisher is very eager to learn new things and to research topics and issues. He is very competent on the computer and creative when developing a presentation or training. One of his current projects is developing training on using the Gem State Prospector Program. The program provides a statewide land and building inventory for realtors and site selectors. Part of his project is to research what other states have done to enhance this GIS Mapping technology to assist businesses locating in their state. Alisher exceeded my expectations with the information he provided. He even developed interactive training tools so people could utilize the tool to its maximum potential. Alisher has an excellent work ethic and is willing to take on any challenge he is given. He is very well liked by his co-workers and is very professional in his behavior. I would be pleased to have him as an employee. If you have any questions, please call me at (208) 334-2650 X 2139. Sincerely, Gloria Mabbutt Commerce Program Manager Division of Economic Development
