Record or update DSS Client-level data on their Individual Profile

About recording DSS Client-level data

While this tutorial demonstrates how to record or update DSS Client-level data from the Individual Profile, this data can also be recorded from the DSS Members section of an applicable Service File or Group. Penelope automatically updates the client data in each location regardless of where it has been entered.

About recording DSS Client-level data

Depending on your configuration, some of the data fields shown this tutorial’s images may not be available in your Penelope database. The presence or absence of specific fields depends on:

If Penelope is your Primary Information System, the Is Using Pseudonym? and Consent to Providing Details? fields are not required in your submissions and are therefore hidden.

If you are not using the Partnership Approach or the client is not enrolled in a Partnership Approach-based Case Service, the fields on the right side of the screen are hidden.

If the client is not participating in a CHSP-based program, the Accommodation Type, DVA Cart Status, and Has Carer? fields are not required in your submissions and are therefore hidden.

Record DSS Client-level data

STEP 1Browse to the client’s Individual Profile > Profile tab and click Edit.

STEP 2Ensure the following fields are complete and accurate for submission:• First Name• Last Name• Date of Birth• Gender

Note: If Penelope is your Primary Information System, the First Name and Last Name fields are not included in submissions.

Record DSS Client-level data

STEP 3On the Individual Profile > Profile, in Address box, click Edit.

STEP 4Ensure the following fields are complete and accurate for submission:• Addr. 1• Addr. 2• Suburb• State• Post Code

STEP 5Click Save.

Note: If Penelope is your Primary Information System, the Addr. 1 and Addr. 2 fields are not included in submissions.

Record DSS Client-level data

STEP 6On the DSS tab, click Edit and complete the DSS Client-level data fields shown on the the screen.

Depending on your configuration, some of the fields shown in the example may be hidden:

STEP 7Click Save.
