Summary We are happy to announce that RecrearMagnify 2015 will be hosted in Montreal, Canada from July 4th - 18th,

2015.

We need 32,000 CAD to cover the costs of this year’s conference for 20 participants.

RecrearMagnify brings together an international team of young leaders to live, share, and work together while exploring innovative ways to get

young people involved in community development. The conference trains young leaders from all over the world on utilizing participatory research

methodologies in their community work.

The costs for the conference are usually covered by asking each international participant to contribute their individual cost (this year 1,400 CAD) - however,

promising leaders every year are unable to attend because of financial constraints.

As a young charity, we are approaching partners and businesses to seek sponsorship and provide the conference at no cost for 20 selected young leaders from all over the world.

We see our conference as an invaluable space for young leaders to exchange ideas across cultures and learn from each other and from selected speakers; the training will provide participants with insight into designing and managing participatory research project which they can use to generate social change

within their local communities. .

About Recrear Recrear is a Canadian charity comprised of young social innovators

from around the globe. We see young people as essential catalysts and agents

for impactful sustainable development; our mission is to ensure that young people are

actively involved in the development of their communities.

We provide consulting services to support our partnering organizations with the design, implementation, and monitoring of youth-friendly programs. Our youth-to-youth approach enables us to collect information on young people’s perspectives through participatory research projects. We use creative and engaging techniques (photography, sports, development theatre, and many others) to supply a space and tools for youth to articulate their needs and build a vision for their community’s development. Based on the information and insight we gather, we then strive to deepen

the connection and improve the quality of collaboration between youth and development

partners.

About RecrearMagnifyBy attending RecrearMagnify, participants receive training in participatory youth research and become part of Recrear’s dynamic international network of students, consultants, and young professionals. Our team members collaborate to make young people’s energy, and perspectives an integral part of international development practice. RecrearMagnify is a two-week full immersion in intercultural exchange, personal development and knowledge exchange. The conference is a real laboratory of ideas on innovating youth participation in community development.

Final GalaWe will host a cocktail party on the evening of Friday, July 17th at Maison Jeann Sauve’. The party is an chance for all our sponsors and partners to eat, drink, network,

and have fun with other community activists and organizations. We will be selling tickets to anyone

who is interested in supporting Recrear’s work.
