Miss Chicago’s Outstanding Pre-Teen The purpose of the Pre-Teen Program is to familiarize young women with the Miss Chicago/Miss Illinois/Miss America Organization and to provide an opportunity for young ladies to win scholarships, develop poise, confidence, stage presence, enhance interview skills, and offer opportunities for public appearances while serving their community. Our pre-teen winners will represent local programs during community service events and appearances. The winner of the 2009 Miss Chicago Outstanding Pre-Teen Pageant will go on to compete at the state level. ARE YOU ELIGIBLE? The contestant must be a resident of the state of Illinois for the last six months and a United States Citizen. The contestant must be a born female and in good health. The contestant must be at least 10 years old and no older then 12 years old by the State Competition (May 23, 2009). The contestant must not be eligible to compete in the Miss Chicago’s Outstanding Teen Program. Winner is required to compete in Miss Illinois’ Outstanding Pre-Teen Pageant in May in Springfield, IL. PHASES OF COMPETITION: 3 Minute Private Interview (20% of Total Score) 90 Second Talent (20% of Total Score) Lifestyle & Fitness Wear (15% of Total Score) Community Service and Academic Achievement will be judged by an outside panel prior to the pageant.
