About us

Yala was established by Jamie Groom and Barry Prost in 2018, to provide a high-quality

recruitment and management consultancy. We provide a bespoke recruitment process

management service for projects in Ireland and Europe.

We have a team of passionate, expert recruiters with a track record of delivering

‘embedded’, cost effective recruitment solutions and sourcing the best available talent

in the market.

We were shortlisted in 2019 for Best New Agency by the National Recruitment

Federation.

As part of our Corporate Social Responsibility agenda, we are currently working with

Specialisterne and Nua Health to recruit and support talented people on the Autistic

Spectrum.

Today, recruitment process outsourcing has become a customisable talent acquisition solution for organisations — of all sizes — designed to improve employer branding, candidate and hiring manager experience, and to create a centralised talent pipeline, in addition to meeting hiring demands.

From our experience, the “O” in “RPO” tends to be the scary word. The idea that, as an organisation, you are losing control of your recruitment process. Which couldn’t be further from the truth. At Yala, we prefer to think of the process as being more of a great assistance to your current model and for that reason, we call our offering RPA or Recruitment Process Assistance.

Leadership team at Yala

Jamie Groom

Director

After studying Architecture in London, Jamie Groom has been working in the recruitment sector in Ireland and internationally for over 20 years and is one of the founding directors of Propel & Yala.

He is a self-starter with a proactive, flexible approach to problem solving. He brings a high level of enthusiasm and client-focus to each assignment.

His main focus over the last 6 years has been senior and executive level positions.

Mark Loughnane

Operations Director

Mark has 9 years’ experience in the recruitment industry, with a main focus has always been in development and delivery of recruitment ramp up projects coupled with delivery of day to day recruitment needs of companies within the Pharmaceutical and Manufacturing sector.

In his most recent role, as the Senior Talent Acquisition Specialist for CPLs client Pfizer (one of Ireland’s largest RPOs), he was accountable for the delivery of end to end recruitment for all of Ireland. Mark graduated with a BSc in Science from NUIG, Galway and has a MSc in Environmental Sustainability.

Barry Prost

Director

20 years’ experience recruiting senior managers for major international consultants and contractors. Barry is one of the founding directors of Propel & Yala. Prior to this, he worked for 10 years for Randstad, the 2nd largest recruitment organisation in the world, and managed teams across the UK and Ireland delivering recruitment solutions to major clients. Barry is a graduate in International Business from Trinity College Dublin and has a Masters in Business Administration (MBA) from the Smurfit School of Business.
