About usThe Matthew Project is a local charity based in Norfolk and Suffolk working with young people, adults and communities who are affected by drugs and alcohol. The services we provide include advice, information, outreach, education, counselling and support for individuals and groups.

The Matthew Project has trained staff working throughout Norfolk and Suffolk operating in both rural and urban areas. We work in a variety of settings including schools, youth venues, police stations, courts, local community centres and at our own premises.

We work with individuals who use drugs or alcohol; with parents who are worried about a child or family member; and with young people whose parents use drugs or alcohol.

We provide• Free, confidential help and support for anyone affected

by drugs and alcohol

• A 24/7 telephone helpline for young people (0800 970 4866) and adults (0300 7900 227) in Norfolk who need advice or information about drugs or alcohol

• Innovative education in schools and outreach on the streets so young people understand the risks of drugs and alcohol

• A range of specialist services for young people and adults using drugs and alcohol e.g. counselling

• Support for parents, carers and family members affected by someone else’s drug or alcohol use
