Bulky CollectionYou may have bulky items during move-in and move-out, such as furniture, appliances, and mattresses, and other reusable items. Whenever possible, please consider alternatives to throwing away these materials. Never leave bulky items in or around trash and recycle bins.

1. Donate! Several local non-profits and charities will accept items in good condition and many will even pick them up. Go to www.recyclewhere.org for more information on ways to donate.

2. Contact your property manager to discuss other options or to arrange a bulky pickup.

3. Take materials to the Fremont Recycling & Transfer Station, 41149 Boyce Rd., Fremont.

The “Union City Recycles” tote bag is designed to make it easy to collect, sort, and carry recyclables from your apartment to the recycling area in your complex.

The durable blue bag is made from recycled plastic and can hold all your empty cans, bottles, newspapers, magazines, etc. A FREE recycling tote bag is available (while supplies last) for each multi-family household. Ask your property manager or Contact Tri-CED at 510-429-8030.
