Stay Safe This Summer!It’s that time of year again; backyard barbecues and dips in the pool are a great way to enjoy those long summer days! With all of the fun going on, please remember to properly dispose of barbecue coals and pool chemicals. Here are a few tips:

•Let the coals cool for 48 hours, then place them in a metal container with the lid tightly closed. •Hot coals should never be placed in metal, plastic, paper or wood containers.•After the coals and ash have been cooled, you may place them in your trash can or cart.•Please do not place coals or ash inside your recycling or green waste containers.

•Do not dispose of pool cleaning chemicals in your trash or recycling carts. These chemicals are hazardous and require special disposal. *See reverse page for free disposal locations.

Need a New Cart?Waste Management offers three different sizes of wheeled carts- 35 gallons, 64 gallons or 96 gallons- choose which size works best for you!

If you would like to request a different sized cart, or if yours is damaged or broken, please contact Customer Service. Please have your current cart size available. The size can be found in the first two digits of the imprinted serial number.

Additional CartsAvid recyclers can request additional recycling carts and green waste carts for a small fee. There is a charge for each additional trash cart. To obtain additional carts, please call our Customer Service Center at (949) 642-1191.

Free Bulky Item Pick UpsStill working on your spring cleaning? Let us help!Orange County residents receive two free bulky item pick ups per year, with up to four items per pick up. Acceptable items include furniture and appliances, or up to 20 bags of trash or green waste. Electronic waste, such as TVs, computers, monitors and DVDs, can also be picked up. Please call the Customer Service Center at (949) 642-1191 at least 48 hours in advance of your collection day to schedule a pick up.

We have a variety of service options available for your larger clean up projects as well. Our 3 cubic yard INSTA-BIN® Temporary Bin/Dumpster Rental is perfect for cleaning out the garage, or you may want to purchase a Bagster®. The Bagster® is roughly the same size as an INSTA-BIN® but can hold more weight. It is available for purchase at Lowe’s, Home Depot, or Ace Hardware.
