BRANDING RULES 2015

8.1 Official Red Bull X-Alps Participants Logo The official Red Bull X-Alps Participants Logo is supposed to be used by athletes for their personal digital communications use. (website, facebook, twitter etc.) Any other usage is not allowed. !The Red Bull X-Alps Participant Logo must not be distorted or cropped. It needs to be used in its original proportions and must not be covered by any other design elements.

8.2 Official Red Bull X-Alps Athletes Wear Athletes and official supporters receive their branded clothing in the race office during preparations week in Fuschl am See. (29.06.2015 - 05.07.2015) Athletes Wear includes: 1x Headband, 1x Rain Jacket, 1x Long Zip-Top, 2x T-Shirts, 1x Long Pants, 1x Shorts, 1x Backpack Cover, 1x Pair of Speedhiking Shoes Official Supporters receive: 1x Headband, 1x Rain Jacket, 1x T-Shirt, 1x Shorts, 1x Pair of Speedhiking Shoes !The official Red Bull X-Alps and partner logos must not be covered by any other clothing. (Such as branded collars.) !It is allowed for athletes to place one personal sponsor logo on the official Red Bull X-Alps Rain Jacket, Long Zip-Top and the Performance T-Shirt. (athletes wear only) The personal sponsor must not be in competition with the title sponsor Red Bull or one of the Red Bull X-Alps partners. The personal logo must be smaller than 8x4cm and must be printed in the respective areas. (displayed below) Printing the desired personal logo onto the respective clothes must be paid and organized by the Athlete and his Team. !8.3 Official Press Conferences - Clothing !Athletes must wear a top (as the outermost layer) or cap from the official Red Bull X-Alps athletes clothing during official Red Bull X-Alps Press Conferences. It is not allowed to place any personal sponsor logos that are in competition or conflict with the event title sponsor Red Bull or the event partner Salewa. Clothing from a competitor of Salewa with large logos or branding is forbidden. !8.4 Official Photo and Film Shoots - Clothing !Athletes must wear official Red Bull X-Alps shoes, pants, top and cap during all official photo and film shoots.

Breaking any of these rules will result in a time penalty.

8.5 Official Racing BibThe bib (speedarm) must always be worn as the outermost layer of clothing during the flights and also at the race start on Mozartplatz in Salzburg. Failure to do so will result in a time penalty. !Athletes may request two personal sponsor logos for the spots A, B and C (communicated to the organization in advance). Personal sponsor logo placements will be allowed in the respective areas, as long as they don’t conflict or are in competition with the title sponsor Red Bull or one of the Red Bull X-Alps partners. The logos will be printed within 8x4 centimeters in position A and within 4x10 centimeters in the spot B and C. The personal sponsor logos must be supplied to the Race Committee in vector format by April 13, 2015. Failure to provide the logos in the correct format by the given date will result in the personal sponsor logos not being printed onto the speedarms. Cost of the printing of the personal logos onto the bibs will be paid by the Athlete. (Approximately 50€/spot) Athletes will receive their individual racing bib during preparations week in Fuschl am See.

The collar of the official race speedarm must not be covered. Any clothing worn around the neck must be unbranded and not cover the collar sponsors. The official Red Bull X-Alps racing bib must not be covered by any other clothing or non-essential equipment. !Breaking any of these rules will result in a time penalty.

8.6 The Glider The glider canopy must have one continuous plain white area that covers a minimum of 75% of the top and bottom surface areas. Red Bull X-Alps logos and official sponsor logos have to be placed on plain white background.

Red Bull X-Alps logos and official sponsor logos will appear on every Athlete's gliders in the following locations • on the stabilizers (right and left, on top and bottom, 60x60cm); • in the centre (top or bottom to be specified by the Race Committee, 255x120cm); • to either side (left or right of the centre logo, top and bottom, 110x50cm). All logo positions have a buffer zone around them where no personal sponsor logos are permitted. The zone is approximately 25% the size of the logo and applies either side of every official logo position. See next page for details.

Personal sponsors and logo placements are allowed in the marked areas. If they are in competition with the title sponsor Red Bull they are not allowed on the glider. If they are in competition with one of the Red Bull X-Alps primary partners Garmin or Mazda they must go on the opposite side of the glider. Athletes have to announce their Glider Sponsors for the respective areas by April, 13 latest. Failure to provide this list by the given date could result in having some sponsors not approved.

Official Red Bull X-Alps stickers and exact guidelines for branding gliders (what goes on top or bottom) for each athlete will be supplied to all Athletes prior to the event and must be applied according to Red Bull X-Alps rules.

Athletes must supply a photo of the branded glider or a 100% design copy to the Race Committee within 2 weeks after receiving the stickers. If the Race Committee deems that the stickers have not been applied in the correct positions, the Athletes must re-brand the glider and will bear the costs of doing so.

The graphic below designates 3 spots for Athlete’s Sponsors. Per spot there’s only one Logo allowed. All Glider Brandings and Logo Placements need to be pre-approved by the Race Committee. Gliders of official supporters are not allowed to be branded.

8.7 The Helmet One Red Bull X-Alps sponsor logo (Garmin) will appear on every Athlete’s helmet. Athletes must keep 10x10 cm of the frontal area (centered and starting at the lower rim of the helmet) on their helmet free for a sticker provided by the organizers. There is also a buffer zone around this sticker in which no other stickers may be placed. The buffer zone extends 5cm to the top, and left and right sides of the sticker, and between the bottom of the sticker. The remainder of the helmet may carry Athlete’s personal sponsor logos, as long as they don’t conflict or are in competition with the title sponsor Red Bull or the Red Bull X-Alps primary partner: Garmin.

8.8 The Team Vehicle Two Red Bull X-Alps stickers for Athlete support cars must appear on the right and left side of the front doors and further event stickers to be installed on the rear window. Athletes must keep the front doors and the rear window free of any other personal sponsor logos. The organizers will provide the Athletes with these stickers.
