What we do

• 54 Centres throughout Australia• 11 in WA• Red Cross Centres• South West WA (Bunbury)• Metro East (East Perth) • Metro South East (Willetton)

The Commonwealth Respite and Carelink Centers provide a single point of contact for those in need and their carers. Services include:

• information • referral• advice on a full range of

respite services; and • assistance with respite

What is a carer?Carers are people who provide voluntary care for a family member, friend or neighbour who:– has a disability;– a mental illness;– dementia;– a terminal illness;– or is frail aged

They may be a child, teenager or elderly person who lives with them or in their own home.

Carer Respite provides the opportunity for a carer to take a break from their caring role, whether it be a planned break on a regular basis or an emergency or unexpected situation

Our servicesCarer respite can include • In-home care;• Assistance with home tasks; and • Residential respite

Which may alleviate carer stress helping clients live independently in their own homes.
