Hello everyone Welcome to the May edition of the Red Homes Community Newsletter. This is designed to keep you up to date with what is happening within the Red Homes Community.

Red Rose is excited to announce that they have a bird nesting within the Memory Community courtyard!


RED ROOFS

We had a lovely story from Red Roofs this month. One of our residents, Eileen, joined staff in the staff room whilst they were on their break and mentioned how she loved to put on her make-up, however she doesn’t have any make up now. So the girls gave Eileen a makeover and she said she felt beautiful, Eileen thought no one would recognise her and it reminded her of being young again.


We are absolutely delighted to advise you all of a further acquisition to our portfolio. Red Oaks Care Community joined us on the 6 April and we are very excited by this purchase. This 40 bedded service in Forest Town, Mansfield provides care to clients with Nursing and Dementia needs and it is our intention to take this home to the 5 star banding which demonstrates the highest quality care and expertise from the staff within which we have in our existing group. Linda Kelly is managing the service and her background is extensive and well recognised in this field. So welcome to everyone at Red Oaks we look forward to working closely with you all. At one of our other services, Cara Salmon has been successful in her “fit person” interview with CQC and is now the Registered Manager for Red Firs Care Community. Very well done Cara. 18th May – Coffee morning & Raffle at Red Rose 18th May 2pm – Dementia Friends session at Red Firs for Friends & Relatives 19th May – Mrs Haddock at Red Roofs will be celebrating her 90th Birthday!

23rd May at 10.30am – Singers Bill & Hilary at Red Roofs

Red Lippy Day Red Homes will be taking part in the Red Lippy Day in aid of Dementia UK. Voluntary donations are welcomed if you wish to take part.

CARE HOME OPEN DAY

Red Homes Healthcare will be celebrating the Care Home open day on 17 June 2016, the main theme will be Her Majesty the Queens 90th Birthday. Our Homes will be opening their doors and inviting you in for garden parties, raffles and much more. Please look out for posters within the homes for more details.
