Mr.Narendra Modi at the Centre, Dr.K.Chandrasekhar Rao in Telangana and Mr.N.Chandrababu Naidu in Andhra Pradesh

have taken the reins of governance. We congratulate them for their landslide victory and hope they will put the country on the fast

track of progress. It is also time Mr.Naidu and Mr. KCR buried the hatchet and moved on with their respective developmental

plans for the newly-formed states. Let us hope Mr.Modi will stick to his word on special packages to these states and Mr. Naidu

keeps his promise of developing all the districts equally. Let the people of Andhra Pradesh not turn back after five years and

regret losing Hyderabad. I urge both the governments to work in tandem to build two exemplary states.

The place of pride, the cover space is given to Adah. The actor, though new to Tollywood, has created a niche for herself.

Designer Jeeja Valsaraj imports the latest trends to the city and keeps the girls-next-door in the main loop of fashion. Anjum

Babukhan had left the comforts of the US to educate the future citizens of India. The Eve segment speaks of these two ladies

who have been contributing significantly to the society in their own unique ways.

Mr. G.Shivkumar, is one among the firsts to have helped the city log onto IT field. He has punched the right keys and what we

see on display is sweet success. He shares the GenX space with Mr.Chaitania, an ardent equestrian, who won the race at a very

    young age.

Mr.M.V.Satyanarayna, in charge of expansive Greater Visakhapatnam Municipal Corporation, has many plans for its

betterment and development. We present the man and his mission in Life.

After a hectic schedule and hard work of putting the magazine together, I seemed to have got a well-earned and wonderful

break in the form of my 25th birthday. I am overwhelmed by the warmth and wishes that poured in from the members of the

family and friends. It is only fitting that I express my gratitude to my father, mother and my beloved sister, who shower me with

unconditional love and affection and stand by me in any and every situation. I also thank all my well wishers who remembered

me on my birthday and made it the most memorable day for the years to come.

I wish to wind up, touching once again on the sweeping changes the country has witnessed recently. Together we will

script a glorious future for India, tweeted Mr. Modi after taking oath. I assure him that we, the youth, are equally motivated

    to do our bit.

Balloons and balloons, one little candle on the cake,

much fun, read the invitation card itself, giving just a

hint how excited the family was for this special occasion.

Of course, when it is about the celebration of the first

birthday of a baby girl in a family that did not see a girl

child in five decades, the revelry ought to be a grand

one. That was what exactly happened when

Ms.Divya and the proud parents Mr.V.Hari Pavan and

Ms.Priyanka celebrated the first birthday of the adorable

Akshara. Though held on a grand scale, the event saw

only a few close friends and family members attending it

as the celebration was kept as a very private affair.

The star of the day baby Akshara looked absolutely

endearing in a traditional dress. Donning a Princess

special occasion, was looking nothing less than a fairy

many such elements adorned the set. The hosts

ensured every aspect of the celebration to be an a uber

lavish affair. Thus the Executive Chef Srinath Sambandan

took charge of the epicure segment personally. A grand

spread of delicacies was served to satiate the guests.

However, the prime attraction of the gastronomic affair

was the specialty of the Krishna district to which the

Continental hospitals set up a world class Oncology department with a goal to arrest cancer at the right time and make cancer

    a history to their patients.

The hospital in Gachibowli is built with an objective to bring world class health care within the reach of the common man in India.

Built over a 30000sq ft area, the Centre is equipped with most advanced technology. Dr. Ramanamoorthy Chitti said that his

radiation Oncology department had acquired the state of art advanced technology TrueBeam Stx linear accelerator.

The hospital ambience itself lifts your spirits and the personal care rendered here assures you that you are in safe hands.

Multidisciplinary Team (MDT) approach and clinical effectiveness are essential parts of our work ethos. Treatment strategies are

drawn by a team of doctors drawn from various disciplines. We also focus on post-treatment follow up, says Dr. Praveen

    Dadireddy, Consultant Surgical Oncologist.

The problem here is lack of guidance. Patients dont know which institution is right for them. There are institutes that rush to take

up surgeries and therapies to appease the patients who are naturally in a hurry to get cured. Cancer treatment is time consuming.

The patients should educate themselves before getting into the treatment mode. Medicine is an interdependent science and not an

independent science. The right treatment, given at the right time can cure any disease, says Dr. Guru N Reddy, Chairman.

Different types of cancer warrant different treatment strategies and Continental has in-house super-specialists who have experience

in treating cancer that affects specific area like breast, brain, lever, GI etc. The hospital also conducts health camps at schools,

corporate houses and rural areas. It has reserved a hotline to answer any queries that patients or their family members may have

As a child I had this liking for making scrapbooks and I used to make them for my friends as well. This latent creative flair took a

concrete shape when I visited the Bangalore store which is owned by my family friend Rachana. I just fell in love with the concept

HIsnt it? Hyderabadis who would like to give a different touch to their childrens stationery and gifting options, now have a new store to look at. Located on Road No 7, Banjara Hills, Templetree has a wide range of items. Sonali Maniar conceptualised this

innovative store line in Mumbai in 2006. After successful stints in Mumbai and Bangalore, Templetree is here.

    ASHOK MAKES IT BIG

North Andhra is jubilant as Ashok Gajapathi Raju, the

lone MP from the TDP from Vizianagaram made it to the

Union cabinet. The gentleman politician and scion of

Pusapati royal family has been handpicked by

TDP supremo Chandrababu Naidu to serve as the voice

of the regional party at the Centre and stand for the

interests of North Andhra. It is the most defining moment

of Ashoks political career spanning over 35 years.

Incidentally, Ashok who once aspired to be a pilot holds

Civil Aviation berth. Had he become a pilot, he would

have only headed the crew of his flight. But now he has

the entire aviation sector under his wings. Ashok, who

proved his mettle as finance and revenue minister

in the state, is sure to take the countrys air connectivity

in general and that of Seemandhra in particular, to new

heights. For vexed Vizianagariks, who suffered Botsa till

recently, Ashok comes as a whiff of fresh air.

    REALTY TO REEL

It wont be wrong to call him the macho player in the

realm of realty. To justify it further, lets take a deeper

look. He is known as the builder and body builder.

No more guesses, he is M.V.V. Satyanarayana.

A passionate man with a creative mind, he is far

different from his counterparts. He spends

dedicated time for bodybuilding and fitness and has

a great penchant for super bikes. Recently he has

added one more area to his creative pursuits, i.e.

films. He has produced a woman-oriented movie

casting Anjali in the lead which is slated to release

this month. A very candid MVV tells his close

associates that he may switch to movies

completely, shifting his focus from construction, if

everything goes well. He feels that the silver screen

has a lot more to offer compared to the dry field of

construction. There is a talk that he may even

launch his son as a hero. Time has to reveal how

tall his reel ventures will be!

    VICTIMIZED VIJAYAMMA

It is a case of more sinned against

    than sinning when Vijayamma paid

dearly with her defeat for the follies of

her coterie. Despite her clean image,

she had to face a humiliating defeat

because of her so called supporters. It

was said that the YSRCP goons who

accompanied her to the city to

campaign had given a taste of the

    Kadapa faction culture to the

    peace-loving Vizagites, that obviously

left a bitter taste in their mouths. The

YSRCP men went to the extent of

    threatening the members of the

    Chowdary community that they would

be brought to their knees, once

    Vijayamma came to power. Countering

    these threats, the communitys bigwigs

huddled into a meeting where it was

resolved that attempts to import faction

politics into the tranquil region would

not be tolerated. Besides taking the

message to the voters most effectively,

they rendered their rock solid support

to BJP candidate K. Haribabu and

    ensured his thumping victory.

    RUDDERING VPT

Senior IAS officer M.T. Krishna Babu, who took

charge as the Chairman of the Visakhapatnam

Port Trust, is no stranger to Vizag as he served

here as the Joint Collector earlier. The

prestigious VPT is not only synonymous with

Vizag, but also is a major contributor to the

regions coffers. In addition to the privilege of

heading an all important organization like VPT,

Krishna Babu also enjoys the reputation of

being an impeccably clean bureaucrat. The

locals, who are happy about his return, repose

immense faith in him. The buzz is that the

beleaguered VPT will flourish into a profit-

making entity under his able stewardship. For

Krishna Babu who already has a number of

well-wishers and friends in the region, it

    certainly i
