Classroom Pre-Trip Sessions: October 16 - December 4 Wednesdays 2pm - 4:30pm
Highlights: Low-impact living and environmental stewardship. Hike rainforests and tropical savannas. Tropical conservation with the Belize Zoo. Tobacco Caye Marine Reserve snorkeling. Manatees, birds, turtles, corals, & reef conservation study. Belize culture, language immersion, & Nature as Text.

Belize is home to avariety of marine and terrestial ecosystems, from rainforest and tropical savanna to
mangroves, coral reefs, and more. Examine and compare the country’s different natural, unspoiled habitats during
this 9-day learning adventure. Observe wildlife and hike in the foothills of the Maya Mountains, explore underground
caves, and snorkel the Belize Barrier Reef at Tobacco Caye for a frsthand look at marine biodiversity. Service
projects, meetings with researchers, and informative lectures round out the experience.
