    Inhale

    I am a puzzle piece

    I am a misfit

    But not miscut

    Drawing in a long inhale

    But such a short exhale

My breath is far from done

    Kiss

If only to fool one person

    An act is created, failed

    And portrayed none the less

    Every thought, every step,

    An abortion, a misstep,

    A general lie reinforced

    From time to time keeps

    This ignorance alive

    Check the weather

Like bluebonnets, it appears every so often

One can go years, or even a lifetime without

Seeing it. Illegal to love, cut, and take home

But the other, none of the above

To entice, to hold and to ultimately die

All of this human emotion gives way

    My stop has come

Upon the extended chaos of my house

My soul cannot rest. The tasks that

Fortify a man are all hopelessly lost

In the peril that waits behind the

Loveless door. Exact, but yet so

Unsure, the need has been replaced

By want, and the want is completely

Forgotten. In this loveless home only

Torture endures. A love that has never

Been satisfied simply walks out the door

    Response

How do we respond? Rather how should we respond?

500 miles and 2 tanks of petrol and I still dont know

30 years of inhales andexhales, and I still dont know

Its unfortunate, this fate what must all endure

It seems senseless mostly and necessary partly

    55 North

Rolling hills of the countryside, ever clear lakes, and

    Homes of the believers

Distant barns and bush hogged fields

Old white Fords and old gray granaries

Distant tree lines and even more distant lifestyles

    Passing by

    Flowers and headstones, now what?

    Unknown names, now what?

6 feet of forgetfulness, now what?

    Abandoned thought, now what?

    Forgotten family, now what?

    Dying communication, now what?

Soon our unwritten names for these

    Flowers and headstones

    Life

    Passing by quickly

    The Japanese sting roars loud

    All under the sun

    Humans

    Humans pushing time

    Our natures end in sight

    Humans pushing time

    Qualms with Quality

The quality is gone or maybe it was never here

Lets reach back and dig up the soil

Run it through or fingers, touch what birth feels like

For we have planted stronger, built stronger, and been stronger

    Blank

As a whole we will die out

    It is inevitable

    Our fates intertwined

    Our compassion separated

It is only a matter of time

A seed yet to spring forth

    We wait impatiently as

    Death makes its relentless

    Sprint towards us

    We shall celebrate our

    Decadent design and

    Loathe our inevitable decay

As our lifeless eyes finally close

    Below the tower

    Today I saw a tower

    Where the masses bled below

The tower stood tall with etchings of gold

Although down below the grasses would not grow

The man stood at the window and tipped his hat to the men below

As they all bellowed and moaned for just one piece of gold

    My fountain

Ive seen the water flow and crash

Taking every shape of every container

Like energy my water never dissipated

It just evaporated bound to return and

    Bring life to those unknown

    True, heartbreak, heartrace, life

    Dancing, gliding, beating, surviving

    Sincere, thoughtful, senseless, bound

    Destructing, deceiving, trying, dying

    Tired, untrue, clueless, dead

    Penless

    Insperion

    Time the lackluster lover

    Never sympathetic to satisfaction

    Its expanse in every direction

Is through with us in the blink of an eye

Leaving us as quickly as it came

The lackluster lover leaves us behind

    Farewell soul

    Jovial but not content

    I lay here searching

    I am engaged but enraged

    I cannot find

    Feeling as though for eons

    I have been empty inside

    Hope leaves me just as

    My last breath soon shall

    Memorial

Weve heard you loud and clear

Weve seen you in all your bravery

This life we live maybe taken for granted

But the songs of the warrior are written with care

In our daily walks we hear you loud and clear

The fading presence of good men

    Has its negative results

    The beloved heroes of yesterday

    Have turned into the unforgiven

    Villains of today

    The world continues its suspended

Spin no matter the weather while

Most of us sit here hating the ride

This damnable life Ive been given

    Breath life onto white

Pen slash vivid as sword slash

Ink runs into the red rouge

    Emotion spilled forth

    Mind springs forth

    Eyes closed to envision infinity

    All action portrayed and displayed

    Breathe life into white
