REDISCOVER YOUR

PASSION!#BizHeroes Chat w/ @DJWaldow

Can PEOPLE pivot? HELL YEAH. I'm living proof.

Been an "email marketing guy" for 10yrs.

Next up: Something TOTALLYdifferent

~@DJWaldow

What are the “tools” of rediscovery. Is there a process or it is more free

flow?

Tools of "rediscovery?" For sure. Again, add that to the "what's DJup to next" #Teaser #CoachDJ That being said, it's a PROCESS. Ittakes time, but doesn't have to be years or even months.

DJ Waldow @djwaldow

Ask yourself, when did I last feel exhilaration or fear at a newchallenge? Start there.

Beth Daniell @bdaniell628

PLAN rediscovery - ask yourself what is important, use a tool thatworks for you, I do "my 3 words" inspired by @chrisbrogan

Jo Miller @jm_grants

In my case, rediscovering my passion has been a wild ride, whichincluded a change of hemisphere and host culture lol

Peter Woolvett @customerspecs

For me it's alone time, meditation, being outside with nature, hanging with my puppy, journaling and plenty of red wine. -:)

Barbara Giamanco @barbaragiamanco

It's a combination of flow and process that gives life to my creativepassions. Jessica Roberts @connect2life

The tools of rediscovery are courage, strength, and hard work.Create the path you want to walk.

AJ Borowski @askwhatnext

It's a process of self acceptance, and complete honesty, toourselves. When opinions of others matter but ours matter more.

Iva Ignjatovic @ivaignjatovic

How do we actually know whenwe’ve rediscovered our passion?(does the ah-ha lightbulb go on?)

You know you've rediscovered your passion when what you aredoing comes EASILY, doesn't feel like work.

DJ Waldow @djwaldow

You feel it at your core! You WANT to do what you do - even whenit is challenging and tough you feel the passion Jo Miller @jm_grants

You know you've rediscovered passion when you look back andeverything bad is far in the distance.

AJ Borowski @askwhatnext

When you find your passion, you smile. Not just on the outside, buton the inside.

Chris Barrows @CBarrows

You know you've rediscovered your passion when you smile moreoften ... you laugh more often. Things "come to you"

DJ Waldow @djwaldow

I was just bursting with creativity. I was smiling a lot more ;)

Jessica Roberts @connect2life

When work feels like play, it's safe to say that you've rediscoveredyour passion!

Madison Jones @madisonjoneshr

Yes & creates a new sense of confidence and purpose, peoplenotice it too! Don't stop working towards your passion

Michael Mullady @atlscgrad

Once we’ve rediscovered ourpassion, how do we go about

maintaining it?

Re: maintaining your passion ... tune into Living Your Passion(podcast) to learn just that http://socialbutterflyguy.com/passion/ (PLUG! Ha)

DJ Waldow @djwaldow

Find people who share it and surround yourself with them! Alwaysbe learning!

Beth Daniell @bdaniell628

Don't take your eye off the ball!! Keep doing one small thing afteranother 2 feed the vision. Give yourself some credit!!

Jim Canto @jimcanto

Keep passionate company. Cut out those who drag you down.Respect your limits - burnout is the ultimate passion killer! REST.

Madison Jones @madisonjoneshr

Explore it, embrace it and enjoy it. Leave gracefully when you areready for the next great adventure

Peter Woolvett @customerspecs

Keep sight of it and as I already said - YOU are the one who isresponsible to undergo a change and to make decisions. Marta Neumeister @mne90

My passion is renewed by having ongoing impact on others

Steve Woodruff @swoodruff

I make this promise to myself - No one and no thing can steal mypassion. I'm responsible for its well-being!

Jessica Roberts @connect2life

What role does family, networksand your community play in the

process?

Role of fam/friends - HUGE. If you are not passionate about whatyou do, it has HUGE impact on family/personal life. HUGE

DJ Waldow @djwaldow

It's very important - during the toughest times, I didn't have asupport system..NOT easy...if you have one, cherish it!

Jessica Roberts @connect2life

No man is an island. It takes a village. All of that other cliche stuffhas some truth to it.

Thom Crowe @thomcrowe

Remind me about what I am good--and bad--at. Confidants, coaches, critics and cheerleaders, helping me to be a better ME.

Judy Gombita @jgombita

Without family, community and networks the fire of passion lacksfuel.

AJ Borowski @askwhatnext

Passion and those around you - be it family, networks, co-workersimpact your passion - AND YOUR PASSION IMPACTS THEM! Jo Miller @jm_grants

Very important! Cheerleaders, Mirror-holders, Butt kickers, & helpsyou recharge

Michael Mullady @atlscgrad

It's good to have support but if I don't have it, I'll suck it up and dowhat I feel is necessary, on my own.

Iva Ignjatovic @ivaignjatovic

You are four months intorediscovery. How’s it going, &

could helping people rediscovertheir passion be a new career?

"Could helping people rediscover their passion be a new career?" -Ha. Yes. Maybe. Well ... #CoachDJ (shhh - SOON)

DJ Waldow @djwaldow

I've been in rediscovery for 10 years now, love it. Not always easybut always wiling to share my experience.

Iva Ignjatovic @IvaIgnjatovic

Helping others, sharing our passion and seeing others find theirs.Just beauty

Michael Mullady @atlscgrad

YES! I have found that mentoring and coaching to help othersrediscover their passion is part of my passion

Jo Miller @jm_grants

It could: being happy by helping others do what you can't should bea satisfying irony

Peter Woolvett @customerspecs

There is no separation between helping others&helping ourselves. When we do the 1st, the 2nd happens always. Chris Cason @mbti_estj

Even if rediscovering doesn't lead to a new career, helping othersleads to joy & is a great way to learn more about yourself

Kelly Hungerford @kdhungerford

100% YES ... you are able to share experience and help someoneto find his/her way

Martha Neumeister @mne90

You wake up one day saying "thisisn’t my life!".

How do we know if we are fed-up,burnt-out or in need of something

new?

It starts w/ self-reflection. Are you passionate about what you do?Do you DREAD going into work (even on a Friday)?

DJ Waldow @djwaldow

By having goals and reevaluating them often you'll know if you'refed-up, burned out, or just need something new

AJ Borowsky @AskWhatNext

When there's nothing you look forward to except the weekend andgetting home.

Beth Daniell @bdaniell628

Was ready for new when I woke up and decided this is NOT how Iwant to live my life. I needed and deserved more.

Jessica Roberts @connect2life

When you feel so full of things that just don't matter anymore, it'stime to reevaluate.

Kalynn Amadio @kalynnamadio

A sense of (passionless) lassitude. Everything is just Too. Much.Effort. Judy Gombita @jgombita

We are in need of something new when being fed-up or burn-outpersists over time

Alicia Rodriguez @aroru26

I think you know when you cheer that there are no appointmentson your calendar and you don't care about setting any up.

Barbara Giamanco @barbaragiamanco

What does it mean to rediscoverpassion? Does it mean doing

something completely different withyour life?

Rediscovering your passion is not necessarily doing somethingNEW. In fact, often it's doing what you've always loved/done

DJ Waldow @djwaldow

For me it meant getting back to what I always loved to do.

Jessica Roberts @connect2life

It can mean rekindling the fire you once had for something youlove, or discovering an entirely new venue of excitement!

Madison Jones @madisonjoneshr

Sometimes we knew what our passion was all along and it justtakes some time to reignite the spark again.

@ThinkSem

Rediscovering passion doesn't have to mean doing somethingdifferent it could just mean doing the same thing differently

AJ Borowski @askwhatnext

For me- it was checking my life against my values - realigning andensuring 'I' was valued along with family, work, etc. Jo Miller @jm_grants

It doesn't have 2 mean you have to do something completely diff-you may be burnt out & need R/R or change ur perspective

Sabrina @Plumlytics

Sometimes you're simply on the wrong track, you need completemakeover, sometimes it's all about HOW to get where you want.

Iva Ignjatovic @ivaignjatovic

Your motto is ‘Do what you love,Love what you do’. Can we

rediscover passion without quittinga job or changing career?

Find passion w/o quitting job or changing careers? YES. But, mymom & dad both did that. But for some QUIT is part of process

DJ Waldow @djwaldow

Absolutely!! Your job does not have to be your life. So manyoptions out there to be found and love

Michael Mullady @atlscgrad

Passion is internal - it is possible to change your perspective torekindle your passion

Jo Miller @jm_grants

We can do it by detecting just what we don´t love in our careersand changing all we don´t agree with, to positive choices

Alicia Rodríguez @aroru26

Mentors, ppl who r fun in ur office, a new exercise program...all canhelp u rediscover in ur current setting!

Beth Daniell @bdaniell628

Again not necessarily. Sometimes it's as simple as a slight shiftwithin your industry. Anabella @AAMPTY

There are ways to become more passionate about your job withoutquitting. + finding passions in life never hurts!

Kathryn Kennedy @kontheinternet

Yes we can. I did it. I love my job. I changed the approach and Ichoose empowering, passionate people to work with.

Iva Ignjatovic @ivaignjatovic

Start-ups can pivot. Taking intoconsideration personal career

labelling & branding, can peopletruly pivot?

Can PEOPLE pivot? HELL YEAH. I'm living proof. Been an "emailmarketing guy" for 10 yrs. Next up: Something TOTALLY different

DJ Waldow @djwaldow

I think so. I went from engineer to marketer and found somethingnew that I'm passionate about in my work!

Kathryn Kennedy @kontheinternet

Yes but often we need something to knock us over to help us pivot

Michael Mullady @atlscgrad

My pivot was a preceded by a screeching halt, then a 180, and aslow but steady process of getting to where I am now.

Jessica Roberts @connect2life

I believe we're meant to pivot. We're meant to evolve. We shouldbe learning new dance moves. Variety is the spice of life!

Madison Jones @madisonjoneshr

YES! I can't imagine not 'pivoting' in my career and professional life- I am up and down the court pivoting Jo Miller @jm_grants

Personal careers are changing and people must learn updatingtheir profiles continually

Alicia Rodriguez @aroru26

Yes! Without pivoting, we don't evolve with our audiences. Changecan be a good thing.
