reduce costs and increase capacity
TRANSCRIPT
• Max. service temperature: Up to 1.150°C (2,102°F)
• Back-up lining only, for almost all refractory constructions.
• Excellent insulating value.
• Reduce energy loss and lower the surface temperature of the steel shell.
• Improve the durability of the ladle, thanks to better isotherms.
• Increased production capacity thanks to slimmer lining.
• Lower production costs.
• Increased safety for employees.
• Quick and easy installation.

Reduce costs and increase capacity
Steel ladle insulationTo meet the need for high mechanical strength, good thermal shock resistance and high service temperatures in steel ladles, Skamol has designed the VIP-12 HT, VIP-12 HS and VIP-900 vermiculite based insulation boards, that will help save energy and reduce costs.
When insulating with these insulating boards, the steel ladles preserve heat better due to the increased insulation value and the temperature inside the ladle can be kept at a high level for a longer time thus minimizing heat loss and fuel consumption. Insulating with VIP-12 HT, VIP-12 HS and VIP-900 not only insulates the steel ladles, it also reduces the thickness of lining - increasing the capacity of the ladle.
To see just how much can be saved by applying insulation products from Skamol please refer to the calculated comparison on the backpage.

To ensure that the workflow in the lining and relining process matches the conditions on the specific site, the insulating boards can be delivered as both standardsize boards, wedge-boards and as click-boards. The wedge-boards consist of three boards, each in different shapes - offering numerous combination possibilities. The wedge-boards are especially applicable in conically shaped constructions.
Click-boards - the easy wayThe click-boards combine five boards into one. This ensures a quick installation in cylindrical and conical constructions as they are designed as whole boards with vertical slots making the boards adjust perfectly to the construction and minimising gaps. This unique design ensures minimal heat loss and minimises the need for customisation on site.
