How does improper disposal of wastage affect living things?

For week three students will research how improper disposal of waste affects living things. Through reading books, online research, or using several sites provided to them they will then present, as a group, their findings to the class. Some of this information will also be used in the final assembly presentation.

Resources are provided for students research on our webpage. A small description is allocated for each link, and links to other resources are also provided.

Excursion: Recycling

This five week cross curriculum unit doesn’t need to end abruptly as there are many extension activities that can be added to ‘round off’ the unit. The extension activities that we have included in our website include; an excursion to a recycling centre or a waste treatment plant, creating recycled paper crafts, and creating a reflective blog along with a summary at the end of the unit.
