Car pooling• When people carpool just once a week it saves

• Combine trips, don’t make one if its not necessary
• Less then a mile? Walk or ride a bike
• You can also get exercise • People also work from home
Reducing carbon at your home
• Programmable thermostat – Costs about $50 or less and will save you that much or more in a year
• Weather-stripping and Caulking – Costs barley nothing while reducing your energy use
• Heating and cooling- Only leave it on while your there, no need to have things running when your not home
• Water conserving- turn off the water while your brushing your teeth, washing your face, shaving etc.
Saving carbon while at work
• Enable your computer and monitor when your done
• You don’t always need to print, cut down on printing everything, email it or fax it over
• Make sure all the lights are off in the office before leaving
• For lunch time, bring your own or walk somewhere close to eat
Reduce, reuse, recycle
• People need to stop buying so many things
• When something is broken try and fix it before throwing it away
• After every plastic bottle or can we drink we should recycle it
