Every year the average citizen produces about 10 tons of carbon dioxide — enough to fill two Olympic swimming pools.

average global temperatures are forecasted to rise by as much as 6.4 degrees C (11.5F) by 2100 if emissions are consistant.

Vehicles are responsible for a good proportion of all carbon emissions. Indeed, each gallon of gasoline burned, that’s nearly 20 pounds of carbon dioxide released into our atmosphere.

Tactics such as car pooling and public transportation can cut emissions in half.

Purchasing Hybrids and electric vehicles in the future will make our carbon foot print much smaller.

How can I reduce emissions?

One of the easiest ways to reduce your contribution to greenhouse gases is through recycling .

Making new aluminum from recycled aluminum requires 95 percent less energy the same goes for all recycled and re used products.

Manufacturing a new product from recycled feedstock rather than from virgin materials requires less energy. A decreased dependence on foreign energy sources.
