• Re-farming strategy (site coordination, UMTS 900 site list, planning area etc..)
• Configuration analysis (Capacity)• Performance analysis
• Parameter/feature analysis
• Traffic analysis and Traffic forecast (traffic increase/decrease due to UMTS 900)
Outputs :
• New configuration plan (max configuration on re-farmed band)
• New capacity plan (add 1800 sectors/move traffic to UMTS900/2100)
• New frequency plan (Optimizer)
• New HOC&POC plan
• New feature implementations to maintain QoS of network

Re-design activities
Massive site evaluation is takes time to evaluate thedesign manually.
Using Automatic Cell Planning tool to evaluate thenetwork
NSN uses ACORN as ACP tool.
ACP tools mainly supports for Network configuration &optimization services - outcome:

Optimization - Traffic steering GSM DCS
Objectives :
Is to reduce interference on GSM 900 layer, due to limited GSM 900 spectrum acarve for UMTS900.
Applying traffic steering strategy to offload GSM traffic into DCS, it reduces the spectrum.
Parameter Control and performance monitoring must be check closely.

Optimization - Layering GSM - U900 – U2100
Objectives :
The strategy is to use U900 sharing the traffic from U2100, where U2100 coverapoor. U900 is aiming for Deep Indoor Coverage and Cell border.
