Lake Sebu is one of a kind adventure destination here in Mindanao. A must visit

Nature-inspired destination that you will really enjoy. Relax and chill with nature. Feel

the coldness of the surroundings. Contain yourself with such a great mood with the

nature. Talking about the destination, Lake Sebu, aside from the cold and a nature

enthusiast destination, is also a place rich in arts and crafts according to their beliefs

and tradition. Sculptures, clothing, crafts and other stuffs that are made from their own

products. Also, Lake Sebu is dominated by a group of ethnics which is the T’boli. Most

of the residence of this area are known to be T’boli. An ethnic group that mostly live on

mountains and get their daily living on the crops. They are famous with their festive-like

dresses which is made by an abaca woven, crafts like animal figures and other figures,

their vivacious dances and musics.

.

Lake Sebu is focused to their agricultural and fishing industry. When you roam

around the area, you can see lots of root crops and fish ponds. Most of their fish ponds

are dominated by Tilapias. Just like what I said a while ago, most of the T’boli living

here get their source of income through planting crops and fishing. Simple but it can

always sustain their daily needs.

T’boli people of Lake Sebu are fund of making arts and crafts that are specially

made. Like human and animal figurines and sculptures, bracelets made from things that

can be only found to their area, multiple t’boli instruments and artifacts. Human and

animal figurines and sculptures made by t’bolis are really well made. The curves and

holes are more to be like perfect shape. You can see how devoted they are as a t’boli

though looking to their sculptures. I’ve been wandering how good they are in doing

those things with using non-modernized equipment.
