Land Use Variables will be layered for Peel to create a Walkability Surface at the postal code level Data on Travel patterns for Peel residents will be added to the Walkability Surface from the Transportation Tomorrow Survey Health Outcomes (such as physical activity levels and obesity) for Peel residents will be added from the Canadian Community Health Survey (information collected at the postal code level). So, will be able to assess individual health outcomes by walkability of the neighbourhood for each postal code

Demographic Information will be added to the walkability surface. Previously studied relationships (statistical weights) between urban form elements such as density, street connectivity and land use mix and health outcomes will be added to the walkability surface to create a walkability surface with statistical weights. This Walkability surface can then be used as a database/spreadsheet or as a user friendly software model. Through either of these interfaces, the user will be able to input data from development proposals to assess the changes to health outcomes each development scenario creates.
