• DA RFO 12 intends to utilize its research and experiment stations (RESes) as training grounds for the Apprenticeship Program;

• Moreover, DA RFO 12 will be offering viable topics and/or short courses for those Senior High School (SHS) students who wish to engage in agriculture; and

• DA RFO- 12 will issue a Certificate of Competency/Completion after SHS trainings which they could use in seeking for National Certificates (NC) from TESDA.

JUNE – JULY 2016 Close coordination with DepEd as to the following information:- List of Students who will undergo the

Apprenticeship Program- Scheduling per Batch- Orientation of the Students

AUGUST 2016 Start of the Training

- Once DA RFO 12 has received the final listing of the students who will take-up the topics above, they will be scheduled by batch.

- For example: Tupi RES will only facilitate a maximum of 30 students per batch. Every batch will undergo rigid trainings on the topics that they chose in a span of one month.

- Free of charge on accommodation and facility but not on food and allowance

Continuation of the Series of Training

- At the start of the School Year, there would have a new batch of students monthly. Therefore, a total of 8 batches or 240 students could be given the Certificates of Completion, which could be the basis of TESDA in the provision of National Certificate (NC).

DA RFO 12 is willing to sponsor trainers’ training of teachers for:

A.Organic Vegetable Production

B. Food Processing

Options: 1. DA will be the one to conduct

2. Through invitation by DepEd as resource persons

Comprehensive Scholarship Program for Agriculture and Fishery for qualified and

interested students (preferably IPs)

As to date, DA RFO 12 has more than 120 scholars under the Agricultural Competitiveness Enhancement Fund (ACEF).

After undergoing the Apprenticeship Program, Senior High School who wish to pursue agriculture-related courses could be recommended by the regional office to avail of the ACEF scholarship

Besides DA-ACEF, BFAR and ATI are also offering college scholarships

Though, DA RFO 12 has been implementing edible landscaping project in its research & experiment stations, it still plans to widen its scope by adopting and establishing edible landscape gardens among IP schools.

1. Levelling-off with the DepEd as to the mechanics of K to 12 – Senior High School (SHS) implementation;

2. Consultation with TESDA as to the guidelines in the provision of National Certificates (NC) and the need for the DA RFO-12 to seek an accreditation (including its lecturers) from their office;
