Regions Bank | Mortgage Operations Center

Regions Bank, member of the S&P 500, is one of the nation's largest full-service

providers of consumer and commercial banking services, along with wealth

management and mortgage services. Regions Financial Corporation is

headquartered in Birmingham, Alabama, with a Mortgage Servicing Center in

Hattiesburg, Mississippi. Regions was constructing a new facility that would

consolidate three different existing locations into a single location, and in doing

so partnered with Kimball to bring solutions into their space that supported new

ways of working.

Regions' existing facilities were dated. So the challenge was to

provide a balance of open space that supported new ways of working.

In doing so, Narrate was selected as the primary workspace for the

team at Regions. This solution gave users privacy while still being

in a space of open engagement. Joya chairs and Footprint storage

pedestals completed these areas for a simple, complete solution

that supported their comfortable and energizing environment. Joya

side seating, along with Dock tables, were used throughout the

space to provide additional areas for interaction and group work.

The café and dining area included Dock Meeting and Work Tables

paired with Bingo and Pep chairs, along with Pep stools. Pairings,

Villa, and Joelle lounge seating with Dock tables rounded out this

space. It provided options for the employees to utilize not only

during lunch, but any time throughout the day for additional areas

of work away from their designated location.

Throughout the entire space, Pairings seating was utilized to create

“third” spaces that people could use as impromptu meeting or

gathering spaces or as areas to detether and step away from their

desk. It was important in the design of this space that a multitude of

areas would exist to support the new and different ways people work.

For the private office, Priority was used in Midtown Walnut finish for

a classic and contemporary look. Joya task seating paired nicely to

provide function and comfort. Nash seating provided complimentary

side seating that brought these spaces to life.

The new open-office layout and team spaces allow for collaboration

and adjacency between departments, increasing efficiency and

effectiveness, while building relationships between teams to create

more fluid solutions. Throughout the space, Kimball’s standard

materials palette was used to create a consistent and cohesive

design while providing an energizing space for everyone.
