Pre Hospital Trauma Life Support (PHTLS)

This Provider Course is a 16-hour course for EMTs, paramedics, nurses, physician assistants, physicians and other prehospital providers. Upon successful completion of the course, students receive a certificate of completion, a wallet card recognizing them as PHTLS providers for 4 years, and 16 hours of CAPCE credit.

Advanced Medical Life Support is the gold standard of education for emergency medical assessment and treatment. Endorsed by the National Association of EMS Physicians, AMLS emphasizes the use of the AMLS Assessment Pathway, a systematic tool for assessing and managing common medical conditions with urgent accuracy.

EMS 3000 Basic Anatomy and Physiology

EMS 3000 is intended for Pre-Paramedic program students. This course encompasses both anatomy and physiology of the human body. It includes cell structure and function as well as basic concepts of A&P. This is an online basic anatomy and physiology course which will utilize the AAOS Navigate 2 online learning system and Blackboard learning system.
