The organizing team has worked hard and invited highly reputed
faculty from across the globe to share their views on competency
based medical education during plenaries, keynotes, debates, and
workshops. We are sure you will enjoy the academic feast and the
culinary delights, for which Amritsar is famous. Of course, a visit to
the Golden Temple and an evening at Wagah Border (subject to
local regulations) are added attractions.

It gives me immense pleasure to invite you to the National
Conference of Health Professions Education, 2021 to be hosted by
Sri Guru Ram Das University of Health Sciences, Sri Amritsar during
26th to 30th October 2021. Originally planned to be hosted in
2020, the Covid outbreak forced us to shelve it. With uncertainty
still prevailing over the pandemic scenario, we are organizing the
conference in hybrid mode. Hopefully, many of you would be able
to come to Amritsar but just in case there is any issue, you can still
participate through online mode.
The theme of the conference is ‘Looking back to leap forward:
Curriculum Innovation’. SGRDIMSR was amongst the few
institutions to start online classes and assessment for medical
students soon after the lockdown was announced. In addition,
having been declared a Covid hospital, we strived hard to serve the
local population with hospitalisation, immunisation, and other
services. We hope to share some of these experiences with you.
