This can be extremely challenging because the workplace is ever changing, which includes the way we dress and even how we communicate. Although we may “dress the part,” there may be perception issues if our messaging conflicts with our overall look. In this presentation, we will discuss the various facets of executive presence and how we align with what is expected in the workplace while also maintaining our individuality. In addition, we will explore certain terminology that can sabotage that image and instead develop ways to show that we are a true professional.

Its nickname is Naptown, but Indianapolis is known for speed. The home of the annual Indy 500 isn’t just for race fans, though. Indiana’s largest city boasts museums, histori-cal sites, a thriving cultural scene and some really decadent pie. Rev your engines for a rollicking good time. The city is perhaps best known as the home of the Indianapolis 500, an annual car race that’s billed as the world’s largest sin-gle-day sporting event. Many prestigious racing events are held in the city each year, attracting thousands of race fans to the Indianapolis Motor Speedway. The American Legion is headquartered in Indianapolis, and the city is home to several major universities, including Butler University and Indiana University–Purdue University Indianapolis, created when the two universities merged in 1969.

GETTING THERE & AROUNDTraveling to and around Indy is easy, convenient, and affordable, whatever mode you choose. The airport has racked up tons of accolades for its smart design and top-notch service and has added 45 new flights and 23 destinations in the last few years to achieve record airlift, greater access from the West Coast, and a transatlantic flight between Indy and Paris. The airport is conveniently located only 14 miles from downtown. Once on the ground, visitors find Indianapolis to be extremely walkable and easily navigated.

CONFERENCE VENUEJW Marriott 10 S West St. | Indianapolis, IN 46204Located just 14 miles from Indianapolis International Airport, Indianapolis’ JW Marriott boasts posh accommodations and intuitive amenities for an unrivaled stay in the heart of the city. CENTRAL CANALExplore White River State Park’s Central Canal in a Venetian-style gondola, surrey, cruiser bike, Segway, pedalboat, or on foot. Take in an impressive collection of public art, war memorials and vast urban green space as you pass numerous museums and cafes.
