If you are a leader in your field with exceptional tools, resources or best practices to share with instructors, consider presenting your know-how at DECA AMPED. DECA Inc. is looking for leaders who have innovative ideas to showcase that will help chapter advisors ignite their instruction.

DECA advisors whose proposals are accepted will receive a $100 DISCOUNT towards DECA AMPED conference registration.

Presentations must be related to a topic in the following strands: Chapter, Classroom, Compete, Connect or School-based Enterprises (SBEs). There are two opportunities to share tips and tools:

1. Master Lab (45 minutes)

2. Best Practices Exchange (repeated 20-minute rounds)

GUIDELINESEffective presenters will ensure participants:

• Gain new actionable information to implement in their classroom or chapter that could not be accomplished independently

• Leave with a new technique, tool or resource that can be utilized in their classroom or chapter

• Engage in active learning during the presentation

PROPOSAL SUBMISSIONPlease submit your DECA AMPED presentation proposal online at deca.formstack.com/forms/ampedpresenter by April 15, 2018. They will be accepted until the program is completed.

A biography and high-resolution headshot for promotion and inclusion in the conference program are due when submitting your proposal. Please see the online form for requirements.

PROPOSAL SELECTIONAll presentations are peer-reviewed. In an effort to promote new and diverse information, reviewers will give strong preference to content not previously presented at teacher professional development activities. You will be notified about the status of your proposal via email no more than three weeks after the deadline.

METHODS OF PAYMENT: Check, purchase order, or credit card (MasterCard, VISA or American Express) are accepted. A 3% convenience fee will be assessed for any charged amount.

REFUND POLICY: No refunds will be granted for adjustment of the advisor’s registration after 4 p.m. on May 20, 2018. Refund checks will be sent within one month after the close of the conference. Registration commits those to attend and obligates them to costs incurred by DECA.

Conference participants must stay at the conference hotel, unless holding status of local commuter. Make your hotel reservations in the online registration system with DECA Inc. DECA Inc. will manage hotel reservations.

Dress code is business casual during all conference professional development sessions. More casual attire is appropriate during evening events and on the day of departure, as many of you will be heading to the airport after the conclusion of the program.
