Prepare for the REHS/RS exam with this eight-week online prep course.Broken down by exam topic areas, this preparation course will give you the resources you need to pass the exam. Study the various topics you need to know, and gain the depth of knowledge you’ll need to be successful.

Make the most of your study time by targeting your efforts on relevant information. The UW Oshkosh exam prep course offers:

• Online instruction• The official NEHA study guide• Opportunities to study and share knowledge with peers• Sample exam questions• Overview of the application process• “Virtual” office hours for Q&A with the instructor

Why become a registered sanitarian?As a registered sanitarian you will work to protect human health, safety and welfare by controlling preventable diseases and applying environmental control measures. The National Environmental Health Association requires registered sanitarians to apply for the credential and pass the REHS/RS exam.

Work in the public and private sectors in areas like food safety, drinking water regulation, wastewater systems, radiation protection, housing and occupational safety. By passing this exam, you’ll be able to use your education and experience and become a registered sanitarian!

Who Should AttendThis program is for individuals who are interested in obtaining their REHS/RS credential. Participants come from a variety of positions, including nurses, inspectors, engineers, environmental and planning consultants, business owners, quality improvement specialists, and laboratory employees. The program is also open to students of biology, microbiology or environmental sciences. Past participants come from around the United States, and have worked at the county, state and federal levels, as well as in the private sector and the military.

Online InstructionThe online prep class will be delivered via the easy-to-use UW Oshkosh Desire to Learn (D2L) learning platform. Each participant will be given a D2L login username and password.

Approved Test Site UW Oshkosh is an approved test site to administer the REHS/RS exam.

Registration Information Early registration is recommended. The program fee for the prep course is due no later than 10 days before the program. The fee includes instruction and study guide. The study guide will not be mailed until receipt of payment. After that date, call the UW Oshkosh Division of Lifelong Learning and Community Engagement to determine program availability. Enrollment is limited.

Cancellation policy If Lifelong Learning and Community Engagement receives notice of cancellation 10 full business days before the start of the program, you will receive a full refund of fees minus a $40 processing charge upon return of the study guide. No refunds will be given for cancellations received less than 10 full business days before the program begins. No refunds will be given to no-shows. UW Oshkosh reserves the right to cancel any program due to insufficient enrollment, as well as the right to limit enrollment due to demand.

Course OutlineIn the summer of 2014, the National Environmental Health association offered a newly revised REHS/RS exam, which better addressed the most relevant topics in the field. The course outline and curriculum for this exam prep course reflects these changes, ensuring that course participants can focus only on the content covered by the new exam topics.
