Reigniting Passion Francis E. MADOJEMU

A Masterpiece: The Sistine Chapel Ceiling  which took approximately four years to complete (1508–1512).

Michelangelo Renaissance Artist 1475 -1564

• According to legend, when a young boy asked the great Renaissance artist Michelangelo why he was working so hard hitting the block of marble that would eventual ly become his greatest sculpture, D a v i d , t h e a r t i s t r e p l i e d ,

“ Yo u n g m a n , there is an angel inside this rock, and I am setting him free.”

Three quick G's and a long E-flat – the opening of Ludwig van Beethoven's Fifth Symphony just could be the most memorable musical phrase of all time.

ludwig van beethoven 5th symphony

Fifth is a masterpiece not only of invention but of concis ion; unl ike movies and novels we consider great but in which minor changes w o u l d b e inconsequential, not a single note of the Fifth could be improved.

Ludwig Van Beethoven

Beethoven was an introvert, not an extravert. He had one of t h e r i c h e s t i n n e r l i v e s humankind has ever known, was reported to have been withdrawn from eleven on, and preferred nature to man, saying,

“I live only in my music"

Avatar has been described as a "game-changer," and perhaps it is.

Avatar

The film broke several box office records during its release and became the highest-grossing film of all time in North America[27] and worldwide, surpassing Titanic, which had held the records for the previous twelve years.[28] It also became the first film to gross more than $2 billion.[29] Avatar was nominated for nine Academy Awards.

James Cameron

Development of Avatar began in 1994, when Cameron wrote an 80-page scriptment for the fi l m . [ 1 2 ] F i l m i n g w a s supposed to take place after the completion of Cameron's 1997 fi lm T i tanic, for a planned release in 1999,[13] but according to Cameron, the necessary technology was not yet available to achieve his vision of the film.[14]

What is common to these men: PASSION!

Why?

• A beautiful Scripture in Ephesian speaks of those of us who have received Jesus as Savior:

• For by grace you have been saved through faith, and that not of yourselves; it is the gift of God, not of works, lest anyone should boast. For we are His workmanship, created in Christ Jesus for good works, which God prepared beforehand that we should walk in them.  -Ephesians 2:8-10

Gods Most Prized Possession.

• The Greek word used here for workmanship is poiema, which gives us the English word poem.

•I t s u g g e s t s a creative masterpiece.

• When God wanted to show the whole universe what He could create, He decided on us.

What Matters Most To Him Is You.

• Is that not remarkable?

• Y o u a r e G o d ' s creative masterpiece, created for a purpose.

• For what purpose?

• F o r g o o d w o r k s , w h i c h G o d h a s prepared beforehand for you to walk in.

God is Passionate about us!

• He is interested about us and is continually excited to hear how we are doing in our lives.

• He awaits upon us in prayer. Jesus wants to speak to us, endlessly and passionately, if we listen.

• May we be passionate about God as much as He is passionate about us.

If God is Passionate, So Are We,

Never underestimate yourself or your giftings, because you are God's workmanship.

R e m e m b e r : I f y o u speak negatively about yourself or your giftings, you are criticizing the work of His hands.

This God Is In You!

1 John 4:4

4 Ye are of God, little c h i l d r e n , a n d h a v e o v e r c o m e t h e m : because greater is he that is in you, than he that is in the world.

This God Is In You!

Colossians 1:27

27 To whom God would make known what is the riches of the glory of this mystery among the Gentiles;

which is Christ i n y o u , t h e hope of glory:

"What Comes Before Vision"- Bill Hybels

We usually teach leaders and organizations to

begin with a Vision but vision must come from somewhere and we say is from God but its not quite that simple

Vision Comes .....

When we allow God to use the discontent that resides in all of us when we see something we know is not right and we feel compelled to address.

Vision is Birthed!

• Then we can give birth to that vision from God

• It's something you can't walk away from, something you will be willing to die for

Billy Graham 60 years of Ministry!

• We usually start with vision but something must c o m e b e f o r e vision like Billy Graham for 60 years, what is it that starts this vision in God

The Secret?

What makes it possible for people who might seem ordinary to achieve great things?

The answer is passion. Nothing can take the place of passion in a leader’s life.

John Maxwell

Four truths about passion and what it can do for you:

1. Passion Is the First Step to Achievement:

Your desire determines your destiny. Anyone who lives beyond an ordinary life has great desire. It’s true in any field: weak desire brings weak results, just as a small fire creates little heat.

The stronger your fire, the greater the desire—and the greater the potential.

2. Passion Increases Your Willpower:

There is no substitute for passion. It is fuel for the will. If you want anything badly enough, y o u c a n fi n d t h e willpower to achieve it.

The only way to have that kind of desire is to develop passion.

3. Passion Changes You:

If you follow your passion—i n s t e a d o f o t h e r s ’ perceptions—you can’t help becoming a more dedicated, productive person.

And that increases your ability to impact others.

In the end, your passion will have more influence than your personality.

4. Passion Makes the Impossible Possible:

Human beings are so made that whenever anything fires the soul, impossibilities vanish.

A fi re i n the hea r t l i f t s everything in your life. That’s why passionate leaders are so effective.

A leader with great passion a n d f e w s k i l l s a l w a y s outperforms a leader with great skills and no passion

Stir Up The Gift of God.

2 Timothy 1:3-7

3 I thank God, whom I serve with a pure conscience, as my forefathers did, as without ceasing I remember you in my prayers night and day, 4 greatly desiring to see you, being mindful of your tears, that I may be filled with joy, 5 when I call to remembrance the genuine faith that is in you, which dwelt first in your grandmother Lois and your mother Eunice,

and I am persuaded is in you also. 6 Therefore I remind you to stir up the gift of God which is in you through the laying on of my hands.

Jesus Moved With Compassion

Matthew 9:36-37

36 But when He saw the multitudes, He was moved with compassion for them, because they were weary and scattered, like sheep having no shepherd. 37 Then He said to His disciples, “ The harvest truly is plentiful, but the laborers are few. Moved with compassion means a feeling of deep sympathy and sorrow for another who is stricken by misfortune, accompanied by a strong desire to alleviate the suffering.

Moses & David Driven by Passion

No satisfaction until J e s u s , T h e n n o satisfaction Until the Holy Spirit

No satisfaction until our call driven by passion. But without Jesus no Holy Ghost

Without The Holy Ghost, No Calling!

Acts 13:1-4

1 Now there were in the church that was at Antioch certain prophets and teachers; as Barnabas, and Simeon that was called Niger, and Lucius of Cyrene, and Manaen, which had been brought up with Herod the tetrarch, and Saul. 2 As they ministered to the Lord, and fasted, the Holy

Ghost said, Separate me Barnabas and Saul for the work whereunto I have called them. 3 And when they had fasted and prayed, and laid their hands on them, they sent them

away. 4 So they, being sent forth by the Holy Ghost, departed unto Seleucia; and from thence they sailed to Cyprus.

Tears in Heaven?

Revelation 7:17

17 For the Lamb which is in the midst of the throne shall feed them, and shall lead them unto living fountains of waters: and God shall wipe away all tears from their eyes.

 Judged on only 2 things:

Did you receive Jesus as Lord?

Did you do what I called you to?

Tears in Heaven?

Not about wife children

Nor The Church

It's Not about what other people did or not do!

it's about what I called you not what you chose to do yourself!

Your Call!

That is your calling, your assignment.

When God created you i n C h r i s t , H e h a d something for you to do.

You never have to sit d o w n a n d p o n d e r, "What am I to do?"

Your Call!

You need to ask:

"God, what do You have for me to do?"

There is not a single person on earth today created in Christ Jesus for whom God does not have a specific calling.
