1. Introduction to HMIWeb Solution Pack R300

1.1 Overview HMIWeb Solution Pack (HMIWeb SP) is a comprehensive shape library designed to support an operational philosophy consistent with the ASM Consortium’s Display Guidelines. The contents of the HMIWeb SP include over 1800 shapes, training modules, and documentation.

1.2 New Features in HMIWeb SP R300 (Compared to HMIWeb SP R211)

The enhancements in HMIWeb SP R300 can be categorized into:

Additional functionality for existing shapes

New shapes

ATTENTION

When using the HMIWeb Solution Pack R300, make sure your system meets the minimum HMIWeb Display Builder and Station version requirements (version 5.0.782.1032 or above).

ATTENTION

Do not mix shapes from different versions of HMIWeb SP in your displays. The SP R300 shapes use enhanced General Script Holder shapes with different coding principles than existing R2xx GSH shapes. As a result, the shapes will not work together.

Additional Functionality for Existing Shapes

The following additional functions have been added to the majority of shapes:

Use of CSS styles for shape elements; most elements inside a shape are configurable through the use of CSS styles.

Enhanced use of CSS in scripts to allow maximum flexibility in shape animation

Support for nested CSS files

Custom trend invocation from the shortcut menu; ability to add traces for PV, SP and OP of a specific point to one of the standard trend groups. In earlier releases of

HMIWeb SP this was only possible if the parameter to be trended was already used for visualization purposes. With HMIWeb SP R300, other parameters can be added to trend group definitions.

Ability to show additional information in a tool tip, including point descriptor, engineering unit descriptor, or actual value of parameters such as SP.

Most shapes include the possibility to show:

the standard tagname above the shape

the standard engineering units

a custom tagname

a custom Engineering Unit

or nothing at all

Optimized collection rate for shapes designed to link to TPS points. Parameters such as PVFORMAT and EUDESC are only collected once in order to reduce the load on the LCN.

NMODE option has been added to most shapes to allow the operator to see if a controller is in its normal mode or not.

Support for new Experion R300 standard trend function (up to 32 traces per trend)

Support for shapes bound to multiple points with combined alarms and improved interaction with multiple point faceplates.

Enhanced error handling. Errors are logged to the HMIWeb log file.

All shapes have been optimized for performance and flexibility.

New Shapes The quantity of shapes delivered in the HMIWeb SP R300 has been increased from approximately 500 to more than 1800 shapes. The following types of shapes have been included:

Shapes with ESD, interlock and bypass functionality

Trend shape for embedding into process graphics

Trend popup display

Mini trend display

Shapes to support remote display invocation on other stations

Advanced SafeView window handling objects with the ability to send, get or switch displays from one SafeView Window to another one.

Bar shapes

Deviation Bar shapes

Motor Operator Valves (MOV) shapes

High precision accumulator shapes

Additional navigation shapes (for example, up, down, left, right for title bar)

Alarm shapes that combine and handle alarm acknowledgement for multiple points in one alarm symbol

Switch shapes

PID controller shapes showing different combinations of PV, SP and OP. OP can be shown as numerical value or as a bar.

Static shapes

Aggregate alarming overview shape

Fire and gas shapes with multiple point faceplates

Shapes for trip displays and Cause and Effect (C&E) displays

Although the HMIWeb SP R300 offers increased functionality, its impact on display performance is similar to or better than the R211 version. Of course, the performance guidelines still apply as published in Experion product documentation. Typically, the total number of parameters per display is the determining factor for display call up.

Page 14: Release 300 - Infi 90 Infi90 Documentation/Honeywell... · Experion PKS HMIWeb Solution Pack Release 300 Software Change Notice R300 12/2006 Release 300 Draft Honeywell Confidential

2. Upgrade Path for HMIWeb SP R2xx Users All shapes provided in HMIWeb SP R2xx are available in HMIWeb SP R300. A name change has been applied for all C200 dedicated shapes (in SP R2xx named Psc_*.sha) into CDA_*.sha since they can also be applied to ACE, SIM and C300 resident control modules.

Custom properties used for custom color settings have been removed and replaced with custom properties for custom style settings. This greatly enhances the flexibility of new shapes because specific color properties can be animated as well as other object properties such as background color and font behavior (bold, underlined, etc.) simply by changing the cascading style sheet (CSS). For example, a certain style may initially only contain a fill color, but later other properties like line color can easily be added in the cascading style sheet without the need to modify the scripts.

For discrete shapes (for example, on/off valves and pumps) and shapes representing digital values, styles can be assigned per graphical object (for example, PlgIn and PlgOut for the valves). This also makes the shape color configuration much more flexible.

ATTENTION

If you created customer specific shapes using HMIWeb SP R2xx as the basis and you wish to use additional shapes from HMIWeb SP R300, then you must upgrade the original shapes to use the same coding principles as R300 HMIWeb SP shapes. Mixing of different versions of HMIWeb SP shapes in one display (e.g. R211 and R300) will not work.

TIP

Those customers who have been using HMIWeb SP R21x that want to continue using their HMIWeb SP R21x based solution can continue to use their library. Some minor modifications have to be executed to ensure proper functioning in Experion R300 (e.g. changed trend functionality). Contact your Honeywell representative for further advice.

3. Installation Guidelines for HMIWeb SP R300 The HMIWeb SP R300 is made available as one zip file and is typically unzipped to the root of either the C: or D: drive. The ZIP file should not be unzipped to a directory name which contains spaces (e.g. “Program Files”) as some of the batch files will not work in that case (when loading demo SCADA points, for example).

In the sections of this document hereafter, the “HMIWEB_SP_R300” directory will be referred to as HMIWeb-root:\

After extraction the directory structure should look as follows:

Figure 1. HMIWeb SP Directory Structure

The HMIWeb SP R300 files can be downloaded from the Honeywell Process Solution web site.

http://hpsweb.honeywell.com/Cultures/en-US/ContactsSupport/Support/default.htm

If the steps as described in sections 3.1 through 3.8 have been executed successfully, it should be possible to use and review all overview and example displays.

3.1 Cascading Style Sheets All example displays and shape overview displays make use of cascading style sheets. This allows for easy configuration of shape properties, such as line color, text color, line width, fill color and so on.

Page 16: Release 300 - Infi 90 Infi90 Documentation/Honeywell... · Experion PKS HMIWeb Solution Pack Release 300 Software Change Notice R300 12/2006 Release 300 Draft Honeywell Confidential

3. Installation Guidelines for HMIWeb SP R300 3.2. Shortcut Menus

16 HMIWeb Solution Pack Release 300 Software Change Notice R300 Honeywell Confidential & Proprietary 12/2006

All Cascading Style Sheets delivered with HMIWeb SP R300 are located in: HMIWeb-root:\CSS

This directory contains two subdirectories; one for styles conforming to ASM Consortium display guidelines and one for styles similar to those used by the TPS Universal Station. The US_Style cascading style sheets are only used to demonstrate the possibilities of custom style sheets. As best practices have changed over the years, it is unlikely that this style sheet would be used for new projects. The preferred style sheet for projects is the SP.CSS file in the ASM_Style directory.

Figure 2. CSS Directory Structure

The contents of each directory (not the directories themselves) must be copied to the same destination directory:

C:\Program Files\Honeywell\Experion PKS\Client\abstract\CSS

ATTENTION

The directory names are only used to clearly separate the ASM CSS from the US CSS. The CSS files from each directory are required in “C:\Program Files\…\CSS” directory to be able to run all example displays.

The CSS files are required on every Experion Station and Experion server. It is recommended that the CSS files are replicated from the server using file replication.

3.2 Shortcut Menus All point related shapes provide shortcut menu functionality.

When the files are extracted from the HMIWeb Solution Pack ZIP file, the file will be stored in: HMIWeb-root:\Context menus

The files in this directory need to be copied to the directory:

C:\Program Files\Honeywell\Experion PKS\Client\System\R300

The shortcut menu files are required on every Experion Station and Experion server. It is recommended that these files are replicated from the server using file replication.

3. Installation Guidelines for HMIWeb SP R300 3.3. Asset Configuration

R300 HMIWeb Solution Pack Release 300 Software Change Notice 17 12/2006 Honeywell Confidential & Proprietary

3.3 Asset Configuration HMIWeb SP R300 is provided with a number of example and shape overview displays. These are optional and only used if a review of the functionality are required prior to beginning a project utilizing the HMIWeb SP shape library. To support the example displays, several demonstration point databases are provided for different data owners, such as SCADA, HG, HPM and C200/C300 (including FF). Before loading the demo point databases, the necessary Assets must be loaded to the Experion system using the Enterprise Model Builder.

The asset definition is stored in:

HMIWeb-root:\PointDatabase\Assets_AlarmGroups_DB.

Figure 3. Asset Definition Location

Import the Assets.cnf.xml file from this directory into the Enterprise Model Builder and load the assets to your Experion server. See Knowledge Builder for detailed help on how to configure assets using Configuration Studio.

3.4 Process Point Demonstration Database To show the overview displays for Process (C200, C300, ACE) points, load the Process Point demonstration database.

When the files are extracted from the HMIWeb Solution Pack ZIP file, the Process Point demonstration database files will be stored in:

HMIWeb-root:\PointDatabase\Test_Database_CDA

All files in this directory must be imported into Control Builder and then loaded into the connected C200, C300, ACE or Simulation Control Environment (SIM-C200).

Page 18: Release 300 - Infi 90 Infi90 Documentation/Honeywell... · Experion PKS HMIWeb Solution Pack Release 300 Software Change Notice R300 12/2006 Release 300 Draft Honeywell Confidential

3. Installation Guidelines for HMIWeb SP R300 3.5. SCADA Point Demonstration Database

18 HMIWeb Solution Pack Release 300 Software Change Notice R300 Honeywell Confidential & Proprietary 12/2006

3.5 SCADA Point Demonstration Database To show the overview displays for SCADA points, load the SCADA point demonstration database. When the files are extracted from the HMIWeb Solution Pack ZIP file, the SCADA point demonstration database file will be stored in:

HMIWeb-root:\ PointDatabase\Test_DataBase_SCADA

The Quick Builder file in this directory needs to be loaded to the Experion server. This can be done in two ways:

Open an empty Quick Builder database and load channels and controllers by importing ChannelCTL.hdw and then download them to the Experion server database. Import all SCADA points from the all_scd_pnt.pnt file and download them to the Experion server. Optionally, both files can automatically be loaded using the LoadScadaDB.BAT batch file.

Start Quick Builder from Configuration Studio and open the SCADA_DB.qdb Quick Builder file. First, load the channels and controllers. Upon successful downloading, the points can be loaded.

3.6 TPS (HPM/HG) Point Demonstration Database To show the overview displays for TPS (HPM and HG) points, load the TPS (HPM and HG) point demonstration database. When the files are extracted from the HMIWeb Solution Pack ZIP file, the files will be stored in:

HMIWeb-root:\PointDatabase\Test_DataBase_HG

HMIWeb-root:\PointDatabase\Test_DataBase_HPM.

Use your Native Window to load the point databases. Please note that this most likely requires re-assignment of addresses (network, node, slot, sub-slot and unit numbers). Make sure your asset configuration is in line with your TPS unit names.

3.7 Experion Station Configuration To show the HMIWeb SP R300 examples displays and shape overview displays on your Experion Station, the displays first have to be copied to the abstract directory. Or, the Station search path has to be modified to include directories from the standard HMIWeb SP directories.

If you do not copy all the example and shape overview displays to the abstract directory, you will have to add the following directories to your search path:
