1 Preface

2 Selection filter – optimization of selection dialog for field name (valid for OC, Export, MBVD)

The selection dialog for the field name has been optimized within the process of generating filter-criteria.

A. Enter a part of the required field name and click on the black arrow to call up the selection dialog.

B. Your input is automatically adopted in the search field and a selection of matching field names is initiated.

You don’t need to apply the “refresh” button in the future when you’re looking for a field name and nar-row down the search result by defining additionally a field group.

An automatic “Refresh” follows after selecting the respective field group.

This is also applicable when you reset a selection via the red button with “X”.

3 Selection filter – manual input of exact field name (valid for OC, Export, MBVD)

Prior to this release, you were also able to manually enter the field name in the respective criterion’s field in order to generate a filter. Your input was lodged as soon as it clearly correlated to a field name (e.g., input “Gross l” is resolved to “Gross list price”. If your input had been imprecise, an error message appeared (e.g., input “Area”, because there are the field names: “Area order number” and “Area customer number”).

This error message appeared sometimes following the input of a complete field name, as well.

For example, the field name “Plant” could not be identified, or filtered out because the term “plant” is contained in other field names, such as: “plant completion”, as well.

From now on, the system will first verify if there is a field name that exactly matches the input term and will select that automatically.


4 Selection filter – selection dialog for the field "Value" by manual input (valid for OC, Export, MBVD)

Till recently, the black arrow for the selection dialog of possible values only became active after choosing the field from the selection dialog. Alterna-tively, the field name could be input manually. In this case, the arrow button only became active after a click on the “Check” button.

From now on, the standard setting for the arrow button will be set to active.

After you call up the selection dialog, the system will verify if that is possible for the respective field name.

A message will be displayed if a selection dialog is unavailable.


5 Selection filter – new operator “not starting with” (valid for OC, Export, MBVD)

A new operator, “not starting with” has been added to your options when generating a selection filter.

You can use this operator to define exclusions with-in your filter.

Example: you’re looking for all orders with baumus-ters starting with 963, excluding those starting with 9634.

Criterion 1: Baumuster – starts with – 963

Criterion 2: Baumuster – not starting with - 9634

You can also apply placeholders (*) for this new operator “not starting with”, as well. Example: Debtors account number – not starting with - ***91


6 Print document – multiple printing (valid for OC, Export, MBVD)

From now on, you can print several documents at once under the print document function (“Special functions – Print document“).

Mark several documents and open the dropdown menu with a right mouse click.

Select the function “Print document (multiple)”.

The documents marked will be printed out.

The following documents can be printed in one step (given the availability of the required authorization for your user ID):

Documents for different document types

Documents for different orders

Documents for orders with different customer numbers

Documents for orders with different branches

Documents for orders from different order-areas

Documents for orders with different brands (e.g., Mercedes-Benz and FUSO)


The following verifications are initiated when applying the function:

Verification of the maximum number of order numbers (when exceeded, the following message is displayed: “Print document (multiple) permissible for a maximum of nnn orders”)

Verification of maximum number of documents (when exceeded, the following message is displayed: “Print document (multiple) permissible for a maximum of nnn documents”)

Verification for PDF-indicator (in the absence of a PDF-indicator for a selected documents, the following message is then displayed: “PDF-indicator missing for document xxxxxxxxxx/nn/nnnnnnnn/nnnn”)

Verification of maximum, total PDF-size (when exceeded, the following message is displayed: “Print document (multiple) permissible for a maximum of nnnnnn kilobytes”)

In order to help you identify the document-size, we have added an extra column to the documents’ se-lection result with the size of the individual docu-ments (in kilobytes).


7 Print document – modified selection (valid for OC, Export, MBVD)

When selecting documents based on order numbers and analogous to other selection types, you may now input 2 to 10 digits of an order number.

You can now enter “16”, for example, to select the respective documents.

You can now also complete a selection based on the first 6-digits of an order number (e.g., „162128“).

You also no longer need a differentiation between Mercedes-Benz and FUSO in the print document’s filter.

Therefore, you can select “All” in the “Brand” field under your filter.


8 MB Vans: automatic setting of takeover date for single-invoice transactions (valid for OC, MBVD)

In the past and in some cases, the takeover date was not automatically set for orders with single-invoice transactions for the branches 5, 7, 8 involving several dispatch steps.

The reason was that the registered exit date (bodybuilder) in AFAB-Evo did not trigger the takeover date as of dispatch step 02.

This has been rectified, in the meantime. In the cases mentioned above, a takeover date is set based on the following rules:

For branches 5, 7, 8, the takeover date is generated on the basis of the exit date for the dispatch steps 02-99 when

the takeover date has not been set yet

and the new delivery status is “FB”

and the digits 4 and 5 of the debtors account number are “91” or “92”.


9 Optimization of document mapping (valid for OC)

The function “Document mapping” has also been optimized.

The fields “Document-category” and “Document type” can be predefined, or customized by the user.

To this end, select a document category and a doc-ument type and save your selection with a click on the star symbol. Your document mapping will de-fault to those selections in future use.

The star symbol is applied to both fields simultane-ously.

In the future, the field “Date of issue (DDMMYY)” will be automatically set to the current date and may be overwritten as required.


10 Customized sorting-sequence in the “Documents” tab (valid for OC)

In the “Documents” tab and within an order, the documents used to automatically be sorted out on the basis of the document type and within the doc-ument type on the basis of the I-date (Issue-date) in an ascending order. From now on, the document sorting-sequence can be customized.

Following a right mouse click on the “Documents” tab, define the sorting sequence on the basis of the following options:

1. Document type (ascending)

2. Document type (descending)

3. I-Date (ascending)

4. I-Date (descending)

5. Title (ascending)

6. Title (descending)

7. ID (ascending)

8. ID (descending)


11 Additions to selections – new fields for filter and view (valid for MBVD)

The following new fields have been added to the selection filter and selection view.

1. “Cash-goodw. Basis” (Cash-goodwill discountable basis) in the field group “Goodwill”

2. “Serv.” (Service) in the field group “Commercial”

The two new fields can also be selected in the se-lection view.
