Overview

INETCO Insight® 6.0.1 is an update from INETCO Insight 6.0.

Highlights of this release include:

Updates to data forwarding, including support for INETCO Analytics™.

INETCO Insight Console now warns of an approaching or exceeded licensedmonthly transaction limit.

Obfuscation of Primary Account Numbers within transaction diagnostics logfiles is now disabled by default.

Various decoding enhancements.

The Processor can now be installed on non-operating system drives.

Various enhancements for alerting and the INETCO Insight Console.

Security updates and enhancements.

NOTE:INETCO Insight Collector 6.0.1 or above is recommended for operation withthis release of INETCO Insight.

Forwarding

The following enhancements and changes for data forwarding have been made:

INETCO Insight now supports forwarding of data to INETCO Analytics.

Licensing is now required for the Insight Forwarding feature, which allowsforwarding of data in JSON format over TCP.

Decoding

The following enhancements and fixes related to message decoding have beenmade:

INETCO Insight now supports ISO 8583 messages up to 64k in size.

ISO 8583 field names are now shown with their bitmap field number as a prefix(if applicable). For example:

"1 - Secondary Bitmap" "2 - Primary Account Number (PAN)" etc.

A bug has been fixed where binary-encoded length prefixes for variable lengthISO 8583 fields could be incorrectly interpreted, resulting in decode failure.

Decoding capabilities enhancements to better handle optional fields.

HTML decoding enhancements to allow configuration of decoded elements/tags. This configuration requires assistance from INETCO Support.

HTTP messages now have all HTTP header fields decoded, including non-standard fields.

HTTP GET and POST message field names with special characters (e.g. squarebrackets) can now be correctly decoded.

Transaction Diagnostics Log Files

When transaction diagnostics logging is enabled, INETCO Insight logs undecodedtransaction messages to these log files. These undecoded messages may includeunmasked Primary Account Numbers. INETCO Insight has the ability to obfuscatePrimary Account Numbers from these log files to maintain the security of theinformation logged.

Obfuscation of Primary Account Numbers is now turned off by default. Enablingobfuscation must be done with assistance from INETCO Support.

NCR APTRA Vision

The following enhancements and fixes have been made for data forwarding to NCRAPTRA Vision servers:

A problem has been fixed that could result in alerts not being triggered on NCRAPTRA Vision servers. Specifically, an issue in INETCO Insight Manager has beenfixed that could result in blank "Customer Alert ID" field values within alertconfigurations.

The following enhancements for alerting have been made:

When configuring alert rules in INETCO Insight Manager, field values will nowaccept commas.

Alerts can now be generated on TCP connects and disconnects by Terminal IDentities.

Console

The following enhancement has been made to the INETCO Insight Console:

The INETCO Insight Console now displays warnings when approaching thelicensed monthly transaction limit (i.e. at 90%) and when the limit has beenexceeded.

Transaction details copied from INETCO Insight Console are now correctlysorted.

Transactions exported from INETCO Insight Console to file now export thedisplayed columns and both local and UTC time columns.

Interval Statistics can now be counted on TCP connects and disconnects byTerminal ID entities.

The INETCO Insight Processor installation can now complete successfully wheninstalling to a non-operating system drive (e.g. C:\).

Security

The following security related enhancements and updates have been made:

SSL v2 and v3 protocols are no longer supported by INETCO Insight, as they areconsidered obsolete and insecure. TLS protocols are now used for securecommunication between INETCO Insight Processor, INETCO Insight Decodersand INETCO Insight Collectors.

OpenSSL has been updated from 1.0.1i to 1.0.1l to address the securityvulnerabilities described at the following links.

A number of security enhancements have been made to Apache Tomcat usedby the embedded web server.

The Java Runtime Environment used by the embedded web server has beenupdated from Version 7, Update 65 to Version 8, Update 31.

The version of Apache Tomcat used by the embedded web server has beenupdated from version 7.0.55 to version 7.0.59.

The PostgreSQL configuration database has been updated from version 9.2.9 toversion 9.2.10.

The PostgreSQL JDBC driver used by the embedded web server has beenupdated from version 9.3-1102 to 9.4-1102.
