Services Menu | Enhanced
Consolo has enhanced the Services Menu and added a new area called External Accounts.
This new area will be used for better tracking of resources associated to Hospices. The
categories in the External Account Area are as follows:
Facilities
Pharmacies
DME
Funeral Homes
Private Insurance
Transportation Providers
Community Groups – New Category*
Medical Companies – New Category*
*Note: The New Categories will associate to Referral Sources in the future.
Updated Services Menu with the new External Accounts Section

Services Menu | External Accounts
If External Accounts is selected from the Services Menu, an improved layout will display that
shows the most recent External Accounts that the User has visited under each header.
Category Details / Searching - To find details within a specific Category click the
header and it will open to the same screen that was available in the past
New Entries - To add a new Entry click the plus sign
Offline Charting | Care Plans
The Care Plans are now consistently displaying on Clinical Charting when Offline Charting.

Medication Pharmacy Fills | Table Enhanced
The Pharmacy/DME column was changed to display the PBM name when medication
pharmacy fills are provided directly from a PBM. New filters were added to the Medication Fill
screen which can be used to identify when new fills have been uploaded and whether or not
they have been applied to claims:
Sent to Claims - Yes or No
Revenue Code - 0250, 0636, 0291, 0292, 0293, 0294
Reversal - Yes or No
Data Source - Manual Entry, CSV Upload, PBM Integration

Claims | Billing Non-covered days on claims
To file some dates of service as non-covered, edit the claim and add a 77 occurrence code
span along with the dates that should be non-covered.
Then edit the revenue lines within that date range and add the non-covered dollar amount to
the ""Non covered amount"" field and check the box in the ""Non covered"" field. The Total
Charges should match the non-covered amount and will automatically default to that when
the screen is updated.

Claims Team – 8XA and 8XC Enhancement

Claims | Clarification on How to send 8xA and 8xC claims
In the past Zirmed, the Clearinghouse, Rejected all 8xA and 8xC claims and did not send them
on to Medicare. This was by design. A few months ago, Consolo added a status code to
these claims so that Zirmed would accept them. This worked for NGS and CGS, but Zirmed
continued to Reject 8xAs and 8xCs being sent to PGBA. In this release, Consolo has added 1
unit to the claims so that Zirmed will pass them through to all payers without stopping them.
This was done because many billers want to batch bill their Notice of Elections and then edit
the NOE once it gets to the DDE TB9997 status, removing the status code and resubmitting.
If you plan to continue hand-keying Notice of Elections directly into the Medicare system, then
use the "Mark As Sent" option instead of sending the claims as 5010. If you use the "Send 5010"
option Zirmed will no longer hold the claims and you will have duplicates in Medicare: one
that was Hand-Keyed and one that was sent to Zirmed. If you plan to send the claims to
Medicare in batches and then edit them in DDE to remove the status code, continue to use
the "Send 5010" option.

Care Plans | Discharges
“Discharge Event” was added as an option to the Patient/Family Engagement Field. This field
will be used when the system generates a Care Plan Update, due to a Discharge. The new
field will allow the Clinical Chart Entry to be more efficiently edited – Prior to this enhancement,
Users had to manually add a Patient/Family Engagement entry, for each Intervention, if the
system generated Clinical Chart Entry was Edited.
Physician Dashboards | Enhancement
The Physician Dashboards will now only display Certifications that are ready for Signatures.

Medication Fill | Clarification Related to CMS CR8358 (Requiring Medications on Claims):
Unit of Measure (UOM) Field Clarification- The UOM Field is required with revenue code
0250 for non-injectable drugs. It is not required with the other revenue codes because
the HCPCS identifies the Unit of Measure.
Identical Medication Fills Clarification - Identical fills in the same billing period will be
added together and reported as one line on the claim. The reason for this is two-fold.
Some pumps are billed twice per month, so the Medication Fill Table would show 2
identical fills with 0.5 quantity each, the dollar amounts and quantities would be added
together, and reported as one fill with quantity 1 on the claim. Also Inpatient units may
dispense medications daily, so 7 days of the same medication will be reported as one
fill with all 7 quantities added together. After summing identical fills, the quantities for
Pumps, Injectable drugs, and Infusion drugs are rounded to a whole number. But since
non-injectable drugs are reported differently on claims, identical fills will be added
together, but not rounded.
PBM Integration Exceptions | Delete Capability - The ability to delete medication fill
information received from a Pharmacy Benefits Manager (PBM) was added to the
system. This capability is controlled with Role Permissions.

Clinical Charting |AutoSave Feature
A new button has been added within the Clinical Charting Screen to Enable a new AutoSave
feature. Click the "Enable AutoSave" button once and each new chart created by the same
user on the same device will auto-save every 60 seconds. It will be stored as a Draft and can
be recovered by going to "My Drafts" under Related Links. After this feature is turned on it will
continue to save new charts until it is turned off by clicking the "Disable" button just to the right
of the "Enable AutoSave" button. When a chart is manually saved or "Created" by the User,
the Draft will Auto-delete.

Sorting is now possible in the Care Plan Area of the Certification
Certification PDF Notifications
When Creating a PDF the system will display a notification once a Certification PDF is
Created (similar to the IDG and Report functionality)
Claims | Automatic Payment Posting
An enhancement was added to Automatic Payment Posting to handle 2 CAS (Claim
Adjustment Segment) per line. This will improve the posting of Medicare secondary claims.

The Classic Dashboard Face to Face Visit Alert was updated to more clearly state what is

Claims - New Feature | Pre-Election Evaluation Claim
In the past Consolo did not allow the entry of Physician Visits or Claims with dates prior to the
admission date. To file Pre-election Evaluation claims, billers had to change a regular claim in
Zirmed or in DDE.
Now it is possible to create a Physician Charge that falls on or between the first Referral Date
and the first Admission Date. When entering the Physician Charge, do the following:
Enter the Code G0337
Mark it as a "Pre-Election"
Go to the Generate Claims screen and create a claim for that one date of service
Note: The claim will be a special type of claim which contains that one visit only. If the visit falls
on the admission date, and the patient is admitted when you Generate claims, you will get 2
claims: the Pre-election evaluation claim and the regular claim.
Security - Role Changes | Medication Fill
A new Section appears in the Roles Screen for Medication Fills. These options handle the new
functionality relating to CMS CR-8358 which allow the Hospice to track Medication details and
costs associated with each patient.
