For our casual raids, our secondary goal is to provide as many guild members as possible withthe opportunity to experience raiding with Relentless. For this reason, we do not reserve orlock raid slots for members in casual raids.

    THE PURPOSE OF THIS GUIDE:

This guide was developed to provide raiding requirements, guidelines, and tips for Relentlessraiders as well as any non-Relentless guild members that wish to participate in Relentless raids. In addition, this guide aims to answer several commonly asked questions in regards to raidingwith Relentless.

This guide is not intended to serve as an introduction to raiding in World of Warcraft, but ratheris intended to provide the information and requirements necessary to help each playerunderstand and succeed in raiding with Relentless.

    PREREQUISITES FOR RAIDING WITHRELENTLESS:

As a casual raiding guild, we try to keep requirements on our raiders at the absolute minimum. However, with that being said, there are a couple of items that we require all raiders to supportfor the good of the raid.

    WORLD OFWARCRAFTVOICECHAT ENABLED:

The first raiding requirement is simply to have the World of Warcraft voice chat enabled. Raid

fight descriptions, strategy discussions, assignments, and dynamic adjustments on -the- fly aremuch faster to simply provide over voice chat rather than requiring the leaders to type outinstructions.

This doesnt mean that you have to have the ability to talk from within WoW voice chat, although that is highly recommended to provide immediate feedback and/or help provide

situational awareness. However, you must have the ability to listen to discussions ongoing inWoW voice chat.

RAID BOSS INFORMATION MOD (DEADLYBOSS MODS):

The second raiding requirement is that each raider must have Deadly Boss Mods loaded andenabled. Again, this is just to ensure that each raider has as much situational awareness aspossible for the more complex boss fights we will face. Without the additional awarenessprovided by these mods, there are too many boss fights where it is only too easy to miss acritical piece of information to the detriment of the entire raid.

While Deadly Boss Mods and Big Wigs fill similar roles and have similar capabilities, it wasdecided to standardize upon one mod (Deadly Boss Mods) to ensure compatible raid warningsand also allow specific guidance to help new raiders with setup, configuration, versions, etc.

More information on Deadly Boss Mods and the latest version of the Deadly Boss Mods addoncan be found at:

    Deadly Boss Mods - http://www.deadlybossmods.com/

    THREAT METER(OMEN):

The final current raiding requirement is that each raider must have some type of threat meterenabled. The new WoW threat display only provides basic threat information and percentagesfor a single target, so Omen is still required to provide a more detailed display of threat statusas well as accurate opening information (i.e., start DPS at 3k threat).

*Note The Blizzard threat API implemented in the 3.0.2 patch does not return threat data onany mob you are not in direct combat with to save network traffic. Since Omen uses theBlizzard threat API information, it also has the same limitation. For this reason, DPS shouldallow the tank to establish positive control at close range (not during the pull), waitapproximately 2-3 seconds, and then use a single low threat spell, ability, etc. to begindisplaying threat information. At that point, each player should monitor Omen and wait toactually start full DPS until the tank has achieved the designated opening threat level.

    RECOMMENDATIONS FOR RAIDING:

There are a couple of general recommendations for raiders to help improve their personalperformance as well as helping the entire raid to succeed and progress.

READ UP ON THE BOSS FIGHTS BEFORE ENTERING A RAID:

The first recommendation for raiding with Relentless is simply to try and read up on the bossfights before entering a raid. The raid leader will attempt to summarize the fight for those thathavent participated in the specific boss fight before along with providing assignments for thefight. However, in many cases boss fights are very complex and difficult to fully explain.

For this reason, it is highly recommended that all raiders read up on boss fights in advance tohelp assist in understanding the various boss strategies, phases, positioning, etc. Someinformation will likely be posted on the Relentless forums, but there are also a couple of websites that provide detailed listings of abilities and even screenshots/positioning diagrams:

USE PERSONAL ENHANCEMENTS TO IMPROVE YOURCONTRIBUTION TO THE RAID:

We dont currently check enchantments or glyphs , and we also d ont require consumables inour casual raids. However, we do highly encourage their use to improve your personalcontribution to the success of the raid.

    E NCHANTMENTS

Enchanting your gear can provide a significant increase in the core stats that affect yourtanking, damage, and/or healing abilities.

    GLYPHS

Glyphs are personal spell and ability enhancements that were added in the 3.0.2. patch andvary by class.

    C ONSUMABLES

Consumables are a general category for the expendable buff items that can be used such as

    food buffs and flask/elixir buffs.

*Note - This category also previously included weapon oils/sharpening stones; however, temporary weapon enchants are being phased out in Wrath and should not be available for 80raiding (by not working on high item level weapons). This was a design decision by Blizzard toincrease the value for those classes that have them as part of their abilities (shaman, rogues, and warlocks).

These items are typically relatively inexpensive to acquire through farming or purchase and canprovide a significant increase in your personal performance during a raid.

If youre not sure about which enchantments, glyphs, and/or consumables are beneficial oreven if youre not certain what these are, just ask your class leader or po st in the Relentlessclass forums for your class and theyll be more than happy to help provide any information youmight need.

    9

In addition, Relentless typically has several members at the maximum skill level for everycrafting profession, so once you know what enchantments, glyphs, and/or consumables you arelooking for, the odds are that youll only need the ra w materials and a Relentless craftspersonwill be more than happy to help provide the final product.

    BEFORE THE RAID:

    SIGNUPS:

Raid signups are posted online along with signups for instances and other guild events on the

    Relentless Raids signups at:

    http://relentless-scryers.com/raidsignup/

In general, we try to ensure raid signups are posted at least a week in advance; however, attimes real life and/or scheduling may result in shorter notice raids being posted.

SIGNUP NOTES FOR CLASSES WITH MULTIPLE ROLES

Most classes have multiple roles that they can fill within a raid (tanking, ranged DPS, melee DPS,and/or healing). If youre a class that can fill multiple roles, make sure to note in your signupwhat your primary gear and spec are until everyone is used to your role and also if you changethat gear and spec at any time (i.e., a paladin should include tank, DPS, or healer in the notes).

If youve communicated your gear and spec during signups, it is the raid leaders responsibilityto try and accommodate your preferred spec if at all possible. However, in some situations, theraid leader may need to ask you to use an alternate spec and gear prior to the raid to meet theraid composition requirements. If this happens, standard practice is that the guild will coveryour respec costs and you always have the option to decline the request.

In addition, in some cases its beneficial to bring gear for an alternate role to provide flexibilitywhere required (i.e., a shadow priest that also brings a healing set). If you have this gear,

please bring it to the raid and let the raid leader know s ince its greatly appreciated to have thecapability to flex assignments as required.

    RAID SELECTION:

In general, raid selection is not determined by first-come-first served or personal friendships. As noted above, we attempt to ensure raid signups are posted at least a week in advance, andwe will attempt to assign raiders ~24 hours in advance. Also as noted above, for casual raidsour goal is to allow as many guild members as possible to experience raiding with Relentless. However, based upon signups and raid composition requirements we may not be able to takeeveryone every week.

Raid selection is based upon the following criteria in this general order:

    R AID COMPOSITION REQUIREMENTS

Most raids typically have specific raid composition requirements (i.e., 2 tanks, 2-3 healers, undead cc, etc.). Our first requirement for raid selection is to match those raid composition

requirements as closely as possible to maximize our chance for success.

    GUILD MEMBERS BEFORE NON-GUILD MEMBERS

This is not any way meant to be a negative to our friends and allies from other guilds, since theyhave been critical for many of our successes to date. However, to be fair (within the othercriteria), we should always select Relentless guild members before non-guild members since

that is a benefit of membership.

  • 8/14/2019 Relentless Raiding Guide v1.5

    11/26

    Relentless Raiding Guide

    11

    M AINS BEFORE ALTS

Alternates are a lot of fun and some people just get tired of playing their mains. However, the

basic fact is that as we progress we need to maintain a pool of experienced and geared players. One player with four geared alts is still only one player in any specific raid, so we try to selectmains before alts to allow more people to see the content and increase our raiding pool.

    P ARTICIPATION AND READINESS

This is just a nod to players that consistently show up on time to raids with their gear ready togo and follow the guidelines for raiding. Those players that dont follow the rules,

requirements, and guidelines for raiding will be warned that continued disregard for the rulescould result in the suspension of Relentless raiding privileges.

In addition, for raids split between two sessions, this includes the raiders that can attend bothsessions since they're working all the way through the content (and it also simplifies schedulingand assignments). However, this will be balanced with trying to help people see content wherethey might only be able to run one night.

    ROTATION AND NEED

Basically, this last element is about rotating out overgeared members at times to includenew/undergeared members. In addition, this involves evaluating the overall raiding needs andtrying to help fill critical raid composition elements (tanks, healers, specific cc classes, etc.).

A FINAL NOTE ON RAID SELECTION:

Raid selection is rarely easy or simple, but as with anything else, you're more than welcome toapproach raid leaders to discuss their reasons for selection in general or for a specific raid.

The only request here is that you do so at least 30 minutes before or at least 10 minutes afterthe raid. At 30 minutes before a raid, during the raid, and up to about 10 minutes after the

    12

raid, raid leaders need to focus on getting the raid together including filling open slots andfinding replacements, keeping the raid moving, and finally updating their notes, providingfeedback, etc. after the raid is over.

    PREPARATION BEFORE THE INVITATIONS START:

Typically, all raids will have invitations starting 15 minutes before the raid start time to geteveryone invited, summoned, and communicate the basic plan for the raid. However, there area few personal preparation items that should be completed before the invitations even start:

M AKE SURE YOUR GEAR IS FULLY REPAIRED

Having gear fully repaired at the start of the run is critical, since every repair break takes timeaway from the raid. There is a minor loss in durability to items for being in combat as well as achance for items to lose durability upon hitting/casting or being hit; however, the majordurability hit is the 10% penalty for death. If the raid is struggling to progress, then it isaccepted that there will need to be repair breaks (or a repair bot) for the entire raid, but its notacceptable to stop nine or twenty-four other people because a player forgot to repair.

H AVE MORE THAN ENOUGH REAGENTS TO LAST THE ENTIRE DURATION OF THE RAID

Many classes have key spells required for use in a raid that require reagents or components. Before the invitations start, try to ensure you have more than enough reagents to last theentire duration of the raid for all of your applicable spells and abilities. If youre not certain

how many might be used, feel free to ask your class lead how many they typically take into araid.

    ATTENDANCE:

As previously noted, most raids will have a 15 minute window to start invites before the actual

raid start time. At that point, the raid leaders will begin inviting raiders into the raid andpreparing for the raid.

If something comes up and you cannot make a raid youve been assigned into: Make a post in the absences forum as soon as possible, so the raid leader can find a

replacement. Cancel your signup in the raid signups, with a note. If something comes up and you think you will probably make it, but might not, please still

make a post to at least warn us of the possibility.

If the raid leader is not present at raid invitation start time:

If an officer is online, let them know. The officer will attempt to contact the leader of theraid, another raid leader, and the guild leader via PM on the forums (and if possible, viaphone call). Please keep in mind that they will be doing everything they can to help resolvean uncertain situation, and be patient.

RAIDER REPLACEMENT FOR NO-SHOWS AND/ OR LATE ARRIVALS:

IF ASSIGNED RAIDER( S ) NOT PRESENT 5 MINUTES BEFORE SCHEDULED START TIME :

If assigned raiders are not present at 5 minutes before the scheduled raid start time, the raidleader will start reaching out to guild members (and non-guild members if necessary) to letpeople know that they might have an open slot and see if they would be interested if the

raider(s) don't show up in the next few minutes.

IF ASSIGNED RAIDER( S ) NOT PRESENT AT SCHEDULED START TIME

If the raid is scheduled to start at 6pm server and the raider(s) aren't online at 6pm server, theraid leader will start inviting replacements that theyve lined up.

If the raider shows up after the raid leader invited their replacement to join the raid, thereplaced raider will not be able to participate in that raid. The raid leaders will not kick outtheir replacement even if it's at 6:01pm and the start time is 6:00pm. It's just not fair to theraid and the replacement to continue making last minute shuffles.

In addition, for two part raids, if someone has to be replaced for the first part, the raid leaderwill give their replacement priority on their slot for the second part of the raid since they tooktheir time to help us out and locked themselves into our raid instance ID (meaning they cannot

raid that instance with another group for the lockout duration). Therefore, they should get tosee the raid to conclusion if they're interested and also as a way to thank them for helping outwhen needed.

OPEN SLOTS AT 10 MINUTES AFTER THE SCHEDULED START TIME .

If the raid leader still has open slots at 10 minutes after the scheduled start time and they don'thave a line on potential replacements, at this point they will likely cancel the raid for that day.

    DURING THE RAID:

BE PRESENT FOR THE RAID DURATION:

The raid duration should always be listed in the raid signups comment for the specific raid, andall players wishing to attend that raid should plan to stay for the entire scheduled raid duration.

Exceptions may be made by communicating with the raid leader in advance for a planned earlydeparture (or late arrival). Exceptions are also instantly granted for real life emergencies andonline access outages.

  • 8/14/2019 Relentless Raiding Guide v1.5

    15/26

    Relentless Raiding Guide

    15

The raid leader will announce when the raid is finished for the day. Even after downing thefinal boss in a raid, if time is remaining in the scheduled raid there may be optio nal bossesthat are targeted if time allows.

    PORTALS:

Please do not open a portal unless asked to do so by the raid leader or the raid leader hasannounced the raid is finished for the day. If you are asked to open a portal for a specialpurpose during the raid, please open the portal off to the side of the raid to avoid accidentalclicks from raiders who just click on all glowing openings by default

    AFKS:

Going AFK during a raid is sometimes necessary but, as a general rule, should not be done on are gular basis. When possible, please try to inform the raid leader that youd like an AFK breaksoon and the raid leader will try to coordinate breaks for the entire raid. If not possible, pleasetry to take AFKs after a boss fight where the raid can progr ess on trash and doesnt have towait.

Unless its a real life emergency, players should not go AFK without informing the raid leader.Players that go AFK without informing the raid leader and/or continually take AFK breaks will bewarned that continued infractions could result in the suspension of Relentless raidingprivileges.

    VOICECHAT:

While raiding, players should generally refrain from discussing non-raid related topics on voicechat while learning new content.

Some minimal joking and comments are ok between fights, but in general voice chat should bekept available so raid leaders can give directions as necessary.

    RAID FIGHTSTRATEGIES:

Raid fight strategies can vary widely even for some of the simpler fights, and unfortunatelythere just isnt time in a raid to debate and discuss the various options and abilities. The raidleader has an overall responsibility to try and keep the raid moving, and for this reason, the raidleader will have a strategy in mind and will dictate the overall strategy for any given fight.

If you have a suggestion on an alternate strategy, ability uses, assignments, or if the raid leaderpossibly overlooked something, please make your suggestion quickly and summarize therecommendation via voice or a private tell.

The raid leader may or may not adopt your suggestion, but in all cases the raid leader has thefinal word on all aspects of the raid.

    PULLINGAGGRO OFF THETANK:

Pulling aggro from a tank does occasionally happen. However, each player should takepersonal responsibility for their threat by waiting for the required amount of threat indicated

by the raid leader, using class specific talents/spells to drop aggro immediately if pulled, andkeeping a close eye on Omen to slow or stop DPS if possible before it happens.

Trying to race DPS meters by opening full DPS before the tank has established the requiredamount of threat is not acceptable raid behavior and players will be warned that continuedinfractions could result in the suspension of Relentless raiding privileges.

BATTLERESURRECTIONS ANDSELF-RESURRECTIONS:Please save your battle resurrections and self-resurrections and wait for the raid leader to askfor it to be used on a specific person or during a specific fight. At times the raid leader willforget or get wrapped up in other tasks, so offering to use these abilities via voice is helpful, but

    17/26

    Relentless Raiding Guide

    17

please do not use these abilities without the raid leaders approval since strategically used theycan turn a fight around.

    RELEASING FROMYOUR CORPSE:

Unless otherwise instructed, you should not release from your corpse until instructed to do soby the raid leader. Even in the event of a wipe, there may be soul stones and other methodsavailable to bring the raid back, and waiting for a corpse run or searching for released corpsescan add an unnecessary delay to a raid.

    LOOT DISTRIBUTION ZERO-SUM DKP:

For Wrath of the Lich King, we will be using a zero-sum DKP system. The simplest explanation isthat by attending Relentless raids and killing bosses, you will earn points. Those points can thenbe spent on the loot that drops (going negative, if necessary. DKP points are assigned on a per-character basis. All characters start at 0 DKP.

More information on the general Zero-Sum DKP system and how it works can be found at:

WoWWiki s Zero -Sum DKP Entry - http://www.wowwiki.com/Zero-sum_DKP

Before we get into how to earn points, let's look at how much things cost in terms of points.

Points for other loot in other raid instances are still TBD, but will be higher for each tier of raids. Leaning towards either a 50% or 100% boost in value for every 'tier'. That way thosewho help out with older runs get some benefit on pushing content, but the real points are incontent we are pushing so we are working on seeing new, exciting fights. Should also help

evaporate some of the stockpiles some people have as we step into new content by effectivelychanging the scale of interest.

    Other raids coming:

Ulduar, Eye of Eternity, Vault of Archavon, Icecrown Citadel

W HAT HAPPENS WHEN WE KILL A BOSS:First, the master looter will link all loot dropped by the boss (even though it is definitelypossible for everyone to see the loot now). Tier item tokens will be addressed first, then otheritems in the order they appear on the boss from top to bottom in the loot window for themaster looter. For each item, the master looter will ask for tells from those interested in theitem. After a reasonable amount of time (typically 20-30 seconds, but can depend on people

asking for time to figure out if the item is an upgrade for them), the master looter will close outtells and announce that in raid chat. Now the master looter will compare against the currentDKP charts and the person with the highest DKP that was interested in the item will win it. Andhave their DKP total immediately reduced by the cost of the item. If there is a tie for top DKP,the master looter will call for a /roll out of 100 between the parties tied.

If the master looter has not received any tells after a reasonable amount of time, the masterlooter will announce that the item will be DEd in 5 seconds and count down. If no tells havebeen received in that period, it will be DEd. DEd items are counted as the points for the crystals

they produce. (This should reduce the incentive to continue farming Naxx well past the pointwhere we're getting many upgrades.)

POINTS FOR KILLING A BOSS:Every time we kill a boss, we will total up the points of all the loot dropped by that boss. Anddivide by the total number of people present at the raid. Each person present for the boss killwill get that many points added to their DKP totals.

    Example:

We kill a boss and it drops the Shield of Awesome Blocking, which is worth 12 DKP, and theTwo Handed Staff of OMG Spell Power, which is worth 25 points. With 10 people in the raid, each person is awarded (12+25)/10=3.7 dkp. The person who receives the shield is charged 12DKP (in addition to receiving the 3.7, for a net drop of -8.3 DKP), and the person who receivesthe staff is charged 25 DKP (for a net drop of -21.3).

Example 2:We kill another boss and it drops the Bracers of Shiny, which are worth 10 DKP, and the one

handed Sword of Why-The-Heck-is-This-an-Epic, which would normally be worth 15 points. Butno one wants the sword, and it is DEed into one abyss crystal. So it is instead worth only 1

DKP. With 10 people in the raid, each person is awarded (10+1)/10=1.1 DKP. The person whoreceives the bracers is charged 10 DKP (for a net drop of -8.9 DKP). And the abyss crystal isbanked.

POINTS FOR ATTENDANCE :For every raid, each person will recieve 0.5 DKP for being in attendance. Additionally, thosewho signed up but were not picked to go but are ready and able to come as backups at raidtime will also recieve the attendance bonus.

POINTS FOR ATTEMPTS ON NEW BOSSES:1 DKP per attempt on a boss we have never killed before will be awarded to those in theraid. The first kill will not get these points, but instead +50% dkp point bonus for a guild first killof a boss, using the formula above.

    T RASHLOOT :BIND ON PICKUP:

BoP trash drops will be handled as if they dropped off a boss.

Raid members will get first chance at a BoE item when it drops, as if it were a BoP item. If noone chooses to spend points on it, it will be banked by the raid. See below for handling of banked items.

Whether BoE or BoP, members present for the item dropping will receive DKP equal to thepoints of that item divided by the total number of members in the raid. Same as if it haddropped for a boss.

GREEN LOOT:The master loot threshold will be set to blue. All green items, with the exception of patterns, will simply go to whoever happens to get that loot.

    BLUE LOOT:

BoE blues will be held until the end of the raid and handed out via random roll to those who did

not get an epic item that night.

B ANKED ITEMS:All abyss shards, BoE crafting materials, and BoE epic items(not taken right away as if it were

BoP) will be banked by the raid. These items can be purchased from the raid using DKP points,as listed above. But only for raiding characters with enough DKP to keep from going negativebuying the item using their DKP, and only for characters intending to use for raids. If we get toomany of one item, we may also choose to sell them on the Auction House to help fundpurchasing crafting materials or recipes for the raid group. But players may not redeem themwith DKP with the intention to sell the item or items.

We will either have a list of all banked items visible to all, or change the glyph tab to beaccessible only by officers, but viewable by all, and hold the banked items there.

BoE items will be handed out on a weekly basis, every Tuesday morning, according to mailedrequests for a BoE item. If multiple requests for the same item are made, the person with thehighest DKP will win.

Likewise Abyss crystals can be purchased for DKP on a weekly basis. Purchasing abyss crystalscannot take you into negative DKP.

R AID-DROPPED CRAFTING ITEMS:For materials dropped in a raid used to craft items, we will form a priority list based on thosewho want to craft something with the materials. Every week people will be able to make arequest for crafting materials, if they have all the other materials to craft the item and thename of a crafter who can make it.

As long as they have enough DKP to get the crafting materials, they will be placed on a list, using random /roll to determine the spot on the list. The list will be processed in order ascrafting materials are acquired by the raids to award those crafting materials to therequestors. New requests will be placed in the list after any requests from a previous

week. Every person will only be able to make one request for the list, until the list empties andwe declare that round of requests over, at which point it resets. (Note that we may make anexception for main tanks if certain resist equipment is needed for progression, and thatequipment requires raid-dropped items).

DKPFOR ALTERNATE ( NON-MAIN ) CHARACTERS:As discussed earlier in raid selection, alternates are typically not selected to participate inraiding to maintain a raider pool and spread loot across that raider pool rather than dividing itamong a main and alternates for one player (who in turn can only fill one raid slot).

However, in the event an alternate character is requested or selected in accordance with theraid selection criteria, they will have their own DKP pool maintained separately from theplayers main and other characters.

DKP FOR NON-GUILDMEMBERS:If non-guildmembers attend Relentless raids, they will be able to accrue and spend DKP usingthe exact same guidelines as Relentless guildmembers described above.

    LOOT DRAMA:

What is commonly known as "loot drama" will not be tolerated in a Relentless sponsored raid. This means you shall not do the following:

Complain about how someone got an item when you didn't regardless of whether it was nothaving enough DKP, losing a tiebreaker roll, etc. NOT EVEN JOKINGLY.

Demand that you are given an item because it is an upgrade for you (or you are theAlmighty Powerful Wizard) regardless of whether the item is being assigned via DKP or arandom tiebreaker roll.

Complain that it is unfair that Mr.AttendsAlot got his tier7 pieces, but you have two childrenand a life so you can't get your tier7 pieces. Mr. AttendsAlot earned the DKP and has anadvantage for loot distribution because he contributes time and effort. That's the way itworks. If you put time in, you get rewarded.

DISCONNECTIONS DURING A RAID:If you disconnect during a raid and cannot get back on:

If you can access the internet, please post on the forums about the problems you arehaving, and if you have an expected time you'll be back.

If you are offline with no notice for 10 minutes during a raid or your expected time backexceeds that, we will (if possible) find a replacement for you so that the raid can continue.

AFTER THE RAID:After the raid is over, there are just a couple of guidelines for general DOs and DONTs:

DOS: Do feel free to link your new toys in guild chat! Everyone loves new toys and we all love

to see the nice toys that others have gained as well!

Do feel free to chat with the raid leader after the raid if you would like to ask questionsor discuss specifics or even just laugh about a funny situation. Most raid leadersallocate some time after the raid to update their notes, chat with raiders, etc.

If you have a concern with the raid leader, I would strongly encourage you to bring it upwith the raid leader after the raid. Raid leaders are human and make mistakes quitefrequently, and most of us appreciate positive and negative feedback after the raid toimprove our performance. If the issue is serious and you dont feel comfortableaddressing your issue to the raid leader, please feel free to contact the guild leader todiscuss your concern.

DONT S: Dont post your damage meters in guild chat , raid chat, or party chat or brag/complain

about your placement on those meters . Damage meters are very subjective and dontprovide an accurate picture of cc requirements, positioning, assignments, or othercontributions provided during fights. The only raid performance measure we should allbe focused on is boss = dead.

*Note - T his isnt to say dont run a damage meter, since many of us use them to improve our personal performance and tune talents, enchantments, glyphs, consumables, etc. In addition, if people want to discuss their performance and link whatever in private tells, thats perf ectly acceptable as long as its not just spamming tells with damage meters to everyone.

    WHERE TO GO FROM HERE:

If youre still interested in raiding with Relentless at this point, there are only a couple of additional steps required before you can jump in and start getting crushed by giant feet

AGREE TO THE RAIDING RULES AND REQUIREMENTS:

First, youll need to agree to the raiding rules and requirements listed above. To do so, youll just need to go to the Relentless Raiding Rules and Requirements Agreement thread in theforums:

    http://relentless-scryers.com/simplemachinesforum/index.php?topic=1697.0

In this thread, youll just need to post that you have read and agree to the Relentless raidingrules and requirements as documented in the Relentless Raiding Guide. This agreement will berequired prior to participating in an official Relentless raid.

DESIGNATE A MAIN CHARACTER AND ROLE FOR RAIDING:

Second, for raid selection and loot purposes, we ask that every player designate a maincharacter and role for raiding. This may seem odd, but as noted in the raid selection area wewant to allow as many players as possible to experience raiding in our casual raids so well tryto take mains over alts to accomplish this goal.

In addition, for loot purposes, its important to provide players with an opportunity to obtainraid loot to help their raid performance as well as improving our raiding player pool. Itwouldnt be fair for a player to take gear from another players main character to gear up their

alternates. In addition, from a raiding perspective, having one player with a fully epiced mainas well as three fully epiced alts is still only one raider that we can use at a time.

As far as designating a main role, its a simple as indicating the role you intend to fill in a raid(tank, ranged DPS, melee DPS, or healer). We wont require specific talent specs within thatrole, nor will we force respecs/role changes, but this simply allows us to get a feel for the class

and role balance we have for raids so we can focus leveling and/or recruitment efforts for thoseareas where we might be short.

Designating a main character and role for raiding is just as simple as agreeing to the raidingrules and requirements. To do so, youll just need to go to the Relentless Raiding Mai nCharacter and Role Designation thread in the forums:

    http://relentless-scryers.com/simplemachinesforum/index.php?topic=1698.0

In this thread, youll just need to pos t the name of the character that you wish to designate asyour main character for raiding as well as your role (i.e., My main character for raiding will beBrueyan and he will be speced and geared for healing) .

*NOTE - C HANGING MAIN CHARACTERS AND / OR ROLES FOR RAIDING:

While it is possible to change your main character and/or roles for raiding, we obviously wantto place tight controls on this to prevent abuse. To use a previous example, if one person gearsup their main character and then decides to gear an alt, we would be in the same situation withloot if we allowed them to simply swap main characters.

For this reason, if you wish to change your main character and/or role for raiding, you will need

to contact one of the guild raid leaders. They will likely ask you to send them a personalmessage from the forums describing why you want to change your main character and/or rolefor raiding as well as the character name and/or new role that you would like to use for raiding. From there, the raid leader will bring the issue to the attention of the guild officers fordiscussion and a final decision.

Again, this is in no way intended to be overly restrictive, but this is required to provide a fairopportunity at gear and raid slots for all of our players.

    SIGNUP FOR RAIDS!

    *NOTE DEATH K NIGHT SIGNUPS:

At the moment, the Relentless rai d signups do not support the death knight class. While wereworking on options to address this, in the interim we simply ask that you signup any deathknights as warriors and include DK in the notes (i.e., if I signed up a tanking death knightnamed Fu zzy, I would sign him/her up as a warrior and then include DK tank in my signupnotes).

Also, dont hesitate to contact your class leader at this point to discuss any class specificquestions or concerns, and you can also contact any of the raid leaders if you have generalquestions related to raiding or the specific raid.
