PROVEN PERFORMANCE WORLDWIDEDiscover how Solar® Mobile Power Units deliver fast installation and flexible, reliable power solutions to industries and utilities around the world.

STARTUP POWER FOR PETROLEUM PROCESSING A major international oil company ordered four Titan 130 Mobile Power Units to supply initial power for an accommodations camp in a major oil field in southern Iraq. The field has proven reserves of 9 billion barrels and is projected eventually to produce more than 2 million barrels per day. The power units (total capacity 61 MW) were chosen for fast installation and commissioning to power the accommodation camp for the field’s central processing facility.

A BOOST FOR RELIABILITYThree rented Mobile Power Units from Solar Turbines bolster the capacity of the Mica Creek Power Station near Mount Isa, Queensland, Australia. The station, sole power source for remote northwest Queensland, supplies the region’s mines along with homes and businesses in local communities. A government-owned electricity-generating company rented three Solar MPUs — a 15 MW Titan 130 and two 6 MW Taurus 60s — to meet the region’s increasing peak power demand and provide constant, reliable power.

PLUG-AND-PLAY FLEXIBILITY In response to the growing need for temporary peaking power, the Cat® Rental Power network utilizes the Taurus 60 and Titan 130 Mobile Power Units in its fleet of rental power. Many of the mobile gas turbines are deployed when a reliable source of on-site power generation is needed to ensure a stable energy supply during a power crisis. The units provide an environmentally friendly power source that can be easily deployed and permitted. The low-profile design and sound-attenuated enclosure system, along with the low emissions of the Taurus 60 and Titan 130, offer a solution that is easy to permit and operate without special exemptions.
