• Human- 5.5 Feet

• 1 Mile – 5280 feet

• We are 1 tenth of a percent the height of a mile.

You Are a Child of God

• Earth to Sun- 93 million Miles• Sun To Pluto- 3 billion Miles• 1 Light year- 5,865,696,000,000• Observable Universe- 46 billion

You Are a Child of God

• God notices us despite our insignificant size.

• We are made in HIS image. Gen. 1:26

• God sent his only son to become a man. John 3:16

You Are a Child of God

• As a Child of God, we must act as such. 1 Pet 1:16

• We ought to look to Jesus as our example. 1 Cor. 11:1

You are a New Creation

• 2 Cor. 5:17 As a Christian, our lives, mindset, desires, etc. must change.

• Put off the old man Col 3:9

• We are set apart. Rom 6:1-4, 2 Cor. 6:17,

• We must be different from the rest of the world.

You are Not Your Own

• Your Life belongs to God. Gal 2:20

• We were bought at a price. 1 Cor. 6:19,20

• Jesus paid the debt for our sins. 1 Pet 1:18-19

• We must Deny ourselves. Matt 16:24

• We must NEVER stop. Rev 2:10

• Consider Paul. Phil. 3:12-15

You Must Center You Mind of Spiritual Things

• Col 3:1-4 Seek those things which are above.

• Going to heaven ought to be our focus. Phil 2:12, 1 Pet 1:10

• 2 Tim 2:15. Diligence takes great effort, indicates priority.

• Phil 4:8 Meditate on spiritual things.

You Are to Do Good Works

• Eph. 2:10. Created for good works. • We ought to be zealous for good works. Tit.

2:14.• Examples of good works

– Teaching others Mark 16:15; by example Matt. 5:14-16

– Encourage others. Heb 10:24-25– Correct the Erring. Jas 5:19-20; Gal 6:1– Looking to needs of Others- Eph 4:28

You are to Live Godly• Tit. 2:11-12 deny ungodliness, and live godly. 1

Tim. 6:6• Rom 12:1-2 Not conformed to this world. • We ought to live godly in all relationships.

You are to Mature in Christ
