We wish to highlight that registration at the website shown on the device during the screen start-up is NOT recommended. Updates done through the said website may cause malfunction to your device.
We strongly advise user to update all future maps at http://sg.makagps.com/mapupdate for an accurate and stable device condition.

WHO SHOULD DO THIS SOFTWARE UPGRADE?

Please only upgrade the below link if:
1. You MAY UPGRADE if you are using Galactio Navigation Software.
2. DO NOT UPGRADE if you are using Mapking or Papago software.
Note: For Mapking or Papago users, your GPS will no longer be operable after this upgrade. Please kindly drop by our service centre to do a mandatory hardware upgrade for any future update.
3. DO NOT UPGRADE if you are seeing a Galactio interface on your start-up screen as below: This applies to earlier Galactio users+
+This upgrade action might not be successful if you are using earlier Galactio navigation software as shown on top. Users might not be able to retrieve a patchable license data file. Please visit our service centre to determinate your GPS version.

RECORD/NOTE DOWN YOUR LICENSE KEY NUMBER
It is important for user to know what is the license key number for their gps. This license file contains important licensing that is used to configure your GPS and run the navigation software.
After collecting the license key number, you can request a license key file from us at [email protected] during troubleshooting.

Step 4 – The highlighted area will be your device license key number. Kindly note down your device ID number stated here
Please record your DEVICE ID/ UUID number.
Step 5 – You may choose to email us your “DEVICE ID/UUID” number to
[email protected] with the Subject: License Key Required
(YOUR DEVICE ID NUMBER) to keep a backup of your license key file at your end
Note: Due to the festive season, kindly take note that this process will require minimum 7 working days before we can email the license key back to you. The process can only be
carried by Marbella Authorised Service Professional (MASP) in a secure environment. MASP will need longer time to process your request. Even though we have a fleet of MASP that is attending calls for our global users 24hours/7 days, but only our selected authorized MASP could expedite and process your requirements during this period.

Please kindly take note of your device ID number before doing this upgrade. Refer to page 5 for retrieve instructions.
Step 1 – Determine if you are running on HD or non HD display by turning on your GPS
- If you are on HD Display, Choose A2 or B4
- If you are on non HD Display, Choose A1 or B3
Step 2 – Determine if is your GPS is operating on Internal Memory or MicroSD card.
- Go to (Go to point A) if you are running on Internal Memory You can execute the maps without any MicroSD card slot in your GPS.
- Go to (Go to point B) if you are running on MicroSD Card^ You are unable to execute maps once MicroSD card has been removed from your GPS. ^Apply to M990+. Do not apply to overseas redeemed maps.

Step 5 – Click on , and select “Save As” (Internet Explorer Users)

Step 6 – Choose “Desktop” location to save your file and click on “Save”
Step 7 – File start downloading. Please be patient with the long downloads
(Download speed may vary subject to your internet speed, final file size downloaded should be 1.51GB)

Step 8 – Once the banner shows that download has been completed, click on “Open Folder”

(I) Select the file to unzip and right click on the mouse double click to unzip your file.
(II) Mouse over your unzip program, for example below, it will be JZIP
(III) Click on “Extract to Folder (YOUR GPS MODEL) Aug 2018 Map Updates

Step 11 – Once you have successfully unzipped your folder. Plug in the Marbella GPS with USB cable to PC.
Note: Please make sure the power of your GPS is OFF before plugging in to your PC

(Picture below is for illustration purposes, the actual name should vary depend on the current update month)

(I) For WINDOWS VISTA/7 & later Version – Double click on “Galactio_Updater.exe”
(II) For WINDOWS XP USER – Double click on “Galactio_Updater_XP.exe”
(III) For MACBOOK USER – Double click on “Galactio Updater_Mac.app”
Note: All favorites will be automatically backup by the system.

Step 18 – Once the message “Device updated successfully” appears, click on “OK”
Step 19 – Congratulations, you have completed the update. Kindly unplug your GPS from your PC

How to check your upgrade completion?

1 Unable to synchronize the GPS with the computer
Device not found!! Make sure that the device is connected in USB Mass Storage Mode
GPS was not shut down properly
Shut down your GPS before proceeding with step 11 on page 14
1) Unplug the USB cable out from your GPS
2) Exit the navigation software
- Click on Setting
- Click on Next twice
- Click on Exit
- Click on Ok to confirm
3) Switch Off your GPS
4) Plug in the USB cable to the GPS again
5) On your computer, click in
(I) For WINDOWS USER – Double click on “Galactio_Updater_XP.exe”
(II) For MACBOOK USER – Double click on “Galactio_Updater.exe
6) Click on Refresh
7) Click on Auto Detect
8) Click on Update Now
USB Setting was set to the wrong mode
Make sure that USB Setting is set to USB Mass Storage Mode
1) Exit the navigation software
- Click on Setting
- Click on Next twice
- Click on Exit
- Click on Ok to confirm
2) Click on Setting on the main IU
- Click on Arrow located at the bottom right hand side
- Click on USB icon
- Select Mass Storage
USB cable might be faulty
Try out a another USB cable
Kindly follow the instructions on page 14

9) Click on “X” for 4 times till it resume back to the main UI

In any case if you are unable to run the exe. program after the re-download, you may use the manual method below. However, do take note that after doing this your favourites will be gone.

2) Once your computer detected the GPS drive, right click on your mouse and format your drive
3) Go to the file you have downloaded, unzip it.
4) Inside the unzipped folder, copy the whole NavIQ folder
5) Paste it into your GPS drive
6) It will take about 30 to 45 mins to do this.
7) Once done, unplug your GPS and try to enter navigation mode.
At times, the GPS will stuck on the start-up screen. Don’t worry about this, as it is absolutely normal after a map update. The GPS is trying to detect your license key. Let it run for about 20 to 30 mins.
Do make sure you charge your GPS via a smartphone adaptor. Do take note that your GPS does not charge

via laptop.
