students'learning experiences. A.P.J

Abdul Kalam said “ Teaching is a very

noble profession that shapes the

character ,caliber and future of an

individual”. Good teachers can make

their students educational experiences

successful including under adverse

conditions. Good teachers can help the

students obtain fundamental learning

even with poor curriculum and limited

teaching facilities .Teacher is the strong

support of educational system which

leads us to the right pathway and shows

the route with appropriate supervision

and inspiration. Teaching is a profession

that teaches all other professions. The

country has reached the edge of the

development of new technologies and

teacher has to constantly progress

themselves with the advancement to

participate in the process of nation

building. It was no more disbelief to say

that the fortune of the country was being

made in the classroom and the teacher

has a significant role to play in the entire

programme of national development

and social changes. Behind every

successful engineer and doctor is a

teacher and sometimes it's often

wonders who teaches these eminent

people like Einstein and Abraham

Lincoln. Alexander the great once said ,

“ Iam indebted to my father for living ,

but to my teacher for living well.” The

role of the teachers and their

competency remain crucial to an

effective outcome of learning. Many

educationist have described the teacher

in different ways some describe him/

her as a dispenser of knowledge while

other see as a leader, coach ,facilitator,

advisor ,motivator ,evaluator and a role

model . Whatever description one

would gave but the teacher plays a

lead role in determining the future of

students. A teacher duty performed is

not easy, because a good teacher does

not just inform illuminate or exhibit, but

also to inspire.

Stanford center for opportunity

policy in education , in its research in

September 2010 states “ in examining

the source of Finland's dramatic rise to

the top , research shows that one key

elements that has impacted Finland's

success above all others : excellent

teachers . Teachers also are the main

reason Finland now leads the

international pack in literacy , science

and math. So being a teacher is great

onus in one's shoulder as you for

someone the ladder to success and

contribute a nation building process.

Thus if the students are the future of the

nation the teacher's are the builder of

nation as. - Helen Caldicott “Teachers , I

believe , are the most responsible and

important members of society because

their professional efforts affect the fate

of the earth”.Such responsible teachers

are the need of the hour for the

betterment of the individual , society

and the nation. It's a matter of great

pride that such pious, perfect, energetic

and responsible teachers are providing

their services in the university of Dev

Sanskriti which is committed to its man

making mission.

Teacher Are

The Nation BuilderTeacher is the backbone of

educational system, the creator of

mankind and the builder of the nation.

Teacher occupies a pivotal position in

any nation. A nation's growth is

determined by the aptitude of its gurus

to change the character of future

generation Their work is not confined to

a particular country or state but includes

the entire span of life time. Since ancient

period teacher has been a respectable,

reputable and most genuine profession

in the society. In ancient time the teacher

was usually a guru who was no ordinary

person . The traditional guru shishya

lineage or parampara was famous in

the old culture for disseminating

knowledge and wisdom on different

vedic, musical , spiritual and also taught

essential values, ideas, manners and

sanskars which would help them in their

future life . In Indian culture the teacher

is next to God . From traditional

education system to modernized the

role of teacher is to inculcate the seed of

knowledge. What teachers know and

do is the most important influence on

what students learn. Teachers are

undoubtedly the most essential

representatives in the educational

process because they directly shape

‘’Let us sacrifice ourtoday

so that our children can have a better

tomorrow.’’-Abdul Kalam

DSVV ChroniclesAkhand Jyoti, The Light of Enlightenment

Akhand Jyoti is an Indian monthly magazine published from Mathura. It was

started in 1938 by Pt. Sri Ram Sharma Acharya. Published in more than 7

languages, it is main magazine of All World Gayatri Pariwar. It broadly covers

social issues, personality development and scientific spirituality. Akhand Jyoti, in

its true sense is the light of enlightenment for its readers.

Inaugural issue of this magazine was published on vasant panchami,

January 1938. Magazine was started in Hindi with a small circulation from Agra.

Publication had to be stopped soon due to unavailability of raw material caused

by second world war. Publication started again in January 1940 with 500

copies. In 1941 it shifted to Mathura. Since then, it has continued without any

interruption till date. Magazine now gets published in more than 7 languages.

Publishers claim its circulation to be more than 1.5 million.Akhand Jyoti Sansthan

is located in Mathura, India. This is the place where Gurudev lived for about

three decades, and completed most of his Mahapurascharans (reciting 2.4

million Gayatri Mantra s per year), participated in India's peaceful freedom

struggle, and launched the Yug Nirman Mission 's principal magazine “ Akhand

Jyoti”– the source of spreading the divine light of his thoughts.

First editor of magazine,Sri Ram sharma Acharya was a journalist and active

participant of the Indian freedom struggle. He had assisted Shri Krishnadatt

Paliwal in Hindi daily Sainik where he had his own daily column Matta Pralap.[He

has authored more than three thousand books including bhashya of ancient

Hindu scriptures.

In 1990, Bhagwati Devi Sharma, co-founder of All World Gayatri Pariwar,

took over the editing work.

Dr. Pranav Pandya, Director, ,head of the All World Gayatri Parivar and

chanceller of Dev sanskriti vishwavidyalaya became chief editor in 1994 and

still serving.Dr. Pandya has authored many books in Hindi and English. He has

also guided various research works and PhDs and travelled across the globe with

a vision to propagate the universal and divine message of the Indian culture

and scientific sprirituality. If there is any spiritual magazine to which goes the

credit for introducing the ground for scientific spirituality it is undoubtedly

Akhand Jyoti. On accout of yugrishi Sri Ram Sharma Acharya's spiritual and

scientific vision the monthly magazine Akhand Jyoti became a force for the

propagation and dissemination of scientific spirituality.

Pt. sri Ram sharma Acharya, a sage, visionary , a reformer initited a

movement called Yug Nirman Yojna for global transformation. The spiritual

sparks and integrity of his character can be easily felt while going through

Akhand jyoti and his other writings as well. It still continues and would continue to

enlighten and inspire its readers for centuries to come.

Presently under the inspiring and schloarly guidance and editorship of

shradheya Dr. Pranav Pandyaji this magazine is ever creating new records of

success.
