00:00 OPENING TITLES – DO NOT SPEAK

00:16 ITW #62 Ferdinand HABSBURG (AUT – Fortec Motorsports) In German “Hi, I’m Ferdinand HABSBURG, welcome to the Red Bull Ring for your Renault Sport Series Magazine!”

00:30 Voice over

Nestled in the Styrian mountains in Austria, the Red Bull Ring plays host to the latest round of the Renault Sport Series. The 4.3km Spielberg venue is one of the shortest and fastest racetracks in Europe, while also being the home of the Austrian Grand Prix. Featuring only nine corners, the historic layout, which winds up and down, never fails to provide exciting racing.

00:57 FEATURE: THE EUROCUP TITLE RACE HOTS UP

01:09 Thibaut DE MÉRINDOL (FRA – R-ace GP Team Principal) In French “There are many front runners, which makes the championship interesting and very contested. We often have four drivers fighting for the win.”

01:21 Voice Over

One of these contenders is #9 Dorian BOCCOLACCI (FRA – Tech1 Racing), currently third.

01:30 #9 Dorian BOCCOLACCI (FRA – Tech1 Racing) In French “We’re a nice little bunch, giving it all at every race. We try to be the best in every aspect, racking up the points to reach the main prize in the end.”

This goal is to win the Eurocup Formula Renault 2.0. Rookie #2 Lando NORRIS (GBR – Josef Kaufmann Racing) has been leading the series since round one.

02:01 #2 Lando NORRIS (GBR – Josef Kaufmann Racing) In English “All of the drivers are pretty tough, I don’t think there’s just one. In each race, each track, I’ve been challenging someone different for the win, the podium…”

02:17 Voice Over

#22 Harrison SCOTT (GBR – AVF by Adrián Vallés) is the most

experienced of the contenders.

02:28 #22 Harrison SCOTT (GBR – AVF by Adrián Vallés) In English “As the races are going on, we’re getting stronger and stronger. The last time, at Monza, we had our first win as a team and for myself in the Eurocup. That was a really good result and I also finished third in another race there. Hopefully, for the second half of the season, we can carry on improving those results.”

02:54 #33 Max DEFOURNY (BEL – R-ace GP) In French “We have one victory and several podiums so far. Now, we hope that we’ll avoid any little issue, that we’ll keep scoring points to stay in the fight.”

03:08 #2 Lando NORRIS (GBR – Josef Kaufmann Racing) In English “I always try to go for the win but sometimes I can’t and I have to settle for second or third place. Sometimes, trying to do this, I make a mistake. I need to learn not to always focus on first place and take some points instead of making a mistake and drop to sixth or worse.”

03:32 Voice Over

Half way through the championship, it’s still all to play for in the Eurocup!

05:35 ITW Winner #2 Lando NORRIS (GBR – Josef Kaufmann Racing)

In English “Lap by lap, Max DEFOURNY started to catch me. He was pretty close and I started to struggle with my tyres. I thought I could hold him off, but he was quite fast. I was very close and there were a lot of overtakes. It was a hard race and I’m thankful for the result.”

00:06 Voice over

The Renault Sport Trophy welcomes news competitors: F1 journalists #16 Diego MEJIA (COL – Duqueine Engineering) and #16 Ben ANDERSON

(GBR – Duqueine Engineering) are teaming up for Duqueine Engineering.

00:20 ITW #16 Diego MEJIA – Duqueine Engineering

In English “This adventure started not so long ago, so I did not have much time to prepare. It all came up at the Austrian Grand Prix when I was here for the Formula One race. Andy STOBART from the Renault Sport Formula One Team told me about the opportunity and it was very difficult to say ‘no’.”

00:48 ITW #16 Ben ANDERSON – Duqueine Engineering

In English “Obviously my driving services are in high demand so Renault came to me! Having any opportunity to race with our busy Formula One schedule is rare and to be grabbed with both hands. Especially at this international level racing, with such a high-performance car, such a high-level of driver at the front of the grid.”

01:09 Voice over

With Gilles DUQUEINE’s team already racing in ELMS, the owner explains how the move to Renault Sport Trophy came naturally.

01:21 ITW Gilles DUQUEINE – Duqueine Engineering Team Owner

In French “It’s all about opportunity. We had a chat with Renault in the paddock at Imola. We pretty much agreed on the spot; then there were two months of hard work.”

Page 7: Renault Sport Series · Austrian Grand Prix. Featuring only nine corners, the historic layout, which winds up and down, never fails to provide exciting racing. 00:57 FEATURE: THE

01:42 ITW Yann BELHOMME – Duqueine Engineering Team Principal In French “When presented with a challenge, we analyse it and see whether the business plan is interesting, both technically and financially. From then on, we apply the DUQUEINE method; we never compromise performance and focus on the hard work at hand.”

02:04 Voice over

Both journalists agree that their latest racing experience will help in their reporting.

02:14 ITW #16 Ben ANDERSON – Duqueine Engineering

In English “You can learn more about racing, what it takes to do it. When you are writing or in Diego’s case talking about racing, you are more informed about what’s going on. You have a better understanding how the sport works.”

02:29 ITW #16 Diego MEJIA – Duqueine Engineering

In English “It’s easy to criticise a driver when you are commentating and say ‘he made a mistake’ but when you drive you understand there might be a reason for that error, which you don’t probably know.”

02:54 ITW Gilles DUQUEINE– Duqueine Engineering Team Owner In French “The first practice sessions have shown that we are on the pace. There are still four rounds including this one so I hope we’ll improve steadily and prove that Duqueine Engineering belongs to the Renault Sport Trophy.”

03:18 HIGHLIGHTS – RENAULT SPORT TROPHY RACES 03:22 Voice over

The German delivers another storming performance to pull a significant gap en route to victory for Marc VDS.

04:36 ITW Winner #9 Markus PALTTALA (FIN – Team Marc VDS EG 0,0)

In English “Basically a perfect race. I also wanted to score the maximum points in the Pro category but I was only P2. We had a very good car for this Endurance event. Fabian managed the race with a clear gap.”

05:40 ITW Winner #15 Fran RUEDA (SPA – Team Marc VDS EG 0,0)

In English “I am really happy for the team and myself for the first victory after some difficult races behind Fabian SCHILLER, because he is a very good driver and it’s tough to beat him. Once I saw the chance I did not doubt it and went for it.”

07:26 FEATURE: ITW FREDERIC VASSEUR 07:41 ITW Frédéric VASSEUR – Renault Sport Racing Deputy Managing

Director & Renault Sport Formula One Team Team Principal In French “There are very strong teams that are well-versed in bringing young talent to the fore. I know them all and their reputation very well. They have already groomed half the Formula One grid. On the technical side, Renault needs to provide a car that helps the youngsters develop and show their talent and the FR 2.0 car fits the bill.”

08:12 ITW Frédéric VASSEUR – Renault Sport Racing Deputy Managing

Director & Renault Sport Formula One Team Team Principal In French “We need to identify future F1 world champions, for 2022, 2023, and build our F1 team around this project.

08:22 Voice over

Once identified, the rising stars still need grooming. Hence the launch of the Renault Sport Academy –, which includes former Formula Renault 2.0 race winners.

Director & Renault Sport Formula One Team Team Principal In French “We are using our factory at Enstone to connect the Formula Renault with the Academy, giving access to the simulator or technical facilities to help drivers further develop. We’ll also provide support on the marketing side with media training. We want to offer an all-around package on and off track.”

09:14 ITW Frédéric VASSEUR – Renault Sport Racing Deputy Managing

Director & Renault Sport Formula One Team Team Principal In French “Detecting young drivers does not narrow down to the time sheets. You need to be really involved in the series to know which drivers should have performed and scored points but did not, etc.”

09:34 ITW Frédéric VASSEUR – Renault Sport Racing Deputy Managing

Director & Renault Sport Formula One Team Team Principal In French “So we rely on the people running the championship to secure some valuable feedback. That way, we can spot race winners but also hidden gems… as long as they don’t stay hidden for too long!”

Ferdinand’s father is Karl Von HABSBURG-LOTHRINGEN, the Archduke of Austria, Royal Prince of Hungary, Bohemia and Croatia.

00:42 #62 Ferdinand HABSBURG (AUT – Fortec Motorsports)

In English “In school, when your name comes up in history class, there are some giggles obviously. But that’s the way it always was, it was the same for my father.”

00:55 #62 Ferdinand HABSBURG (AUT – Fortec Motorsports)

In English “My parents were keen for me to go to university but I was so passionate about racing that I convinced them. Now, I’m living in the UK, close to my racing team, and I do it as a full time job now and I’m waiting for the day I’ll get my first pay check.”

01:15 #62 Ferdinand HABSBURG (AUT – Fortec Motorsports)

In English “I’ve been surrounded by politicians and intellectuals but I don’t know, I took on as a racing car driver. I try to show as much respect and represent my family as well as I can but still making my mark in motorsport history as a pure racing driver.”

Last September, the crown prince suffered a big accident at Silverstone. Thankfully, without any major injury.

01:48 #62 Ferdinand HABSBURG (AUT – Fortec Motorsports)

In English “It was just a pile-up and I was the one that took off. It was a funny feeling initially, you don’t really believe it’s happening, you close your eyes and you push the brakes as hard as you can. The wheels stop because you are in the air and the engine stalls. You hear ‘shhhhhhhhh’ all over the place… That’s a bit scary but for some reason, I thought I was playing video games and flying through the air. But when you hit the ground, you think ‘OK, this is real’.”

02:20 Voice Over

For his first full Eurocup season, the Austrian has had some ups and downs but he claimed his first podium in Monaco.

02:32 #62 Ferdinand HABSBURG (AUT – Fortec Motorsports)

In English “Under the rain in Monaco, it was very difficult to overtake but I knew one corner where I could do it. I made a move on the first lap to take P2 and finished at the second place. Being on the podium in Monaco was incredible.”

02:48 #62 Ferdinand HABSBURG (AUT – Fortec Motorsports)

In English “It was very important to prove my talent and to perform there. Everybody knows there is no advantage or disadvantage in Monaco because you can’t test there ahead. We all had zero experience.”

03:02 Voice Over

On the grid, #62 HABSBURG stands out for his royal origins but not only…

03:11 #62 Ferdinand HABSBURG (AUT – Fortec Motorsports)

In English “My mother is an art collector and has always found interest in art. She found graphic artists to make a nice design for my racecars. Lang and Baumann did my last two years’ cars and I absolutely loved it, they looked so different and
