Renewable Energies
Renewable energy
It is energy that is generated from natural processes that are continuously replenished. This includes sunlight, geothermal heat, wind, tides, water, and various forms of biomass. This energy cannot be exhausted and is constantly renewed. Examples of renewable energy include the following:
Solar
Bio-fuels
Wind
Hydro
Bio-mass
Alternative energies
It is a term used for an energy source that is an alternative to using fossil fuels. Generally, it indicates energies that are non-traditional and have low environmental impact. The term alternative is used to contrast with fossil fuels according to some sources. By most definitions alternative energy doesn't harm the environment, a distinction which separates it from renewable energy which may or may not have significant environmental impact.

Socially Responsible Investing (SRI) Socially responsible investing (SRI), also known as sustainable, socially conscious, “green” or ethical investing, is any investment strategy which seeks to consider both financial return and social good.
“Socially responsible investing” is one of several related concepts and approaches that influence and, in some cases govern, how asset managers invest portfolios. The term “socially responsible investing” sometimes narrowly refers to practices that seek to avoid harm by screening companies included in an investment portfolio. However, the term is also used more broadly to include more proactive practices such as impact investing. According to investor Amy Domini, shareholder advocacy and community investing are pillars of socially responsible investing, while doing only negative screening is inadequate.

Improved public health & environmental quality
Generating electricity from renewable energy rather than fossil fuels offers significant public
health benefits. The air and water pollution emitted by coal and natural gas plants is linked to
breathing problems, neurological damage, heart attacks, and cancer. Replacing fossil fuels with
renewable energy has been found to reduce premature mortality and lost workdays, and it
reduces overall healthcare costs. The aggregate national economic impact associated with these
health impacts of fossil fuels is between $361.7 and $886.5 billion, or between 2.5 percent and 6
percent of gross domestic product (GDP). Wind, solar, and hydroelectric systems generate
electricity with no associated air pollution emissions.
While geothermal and biomass energy systems emit some air pollutants, total air emissions are
generally much lower than those of coal- and natural gas-fired power plants. In addition, wind
and solar energy require essentially no water to operate and thus do not pollute water resources
or strain supply by competing with agriculture, drinking water systems, or other important water
needs. In contrast, fossil fuels can have a significant impact on water resources. For example, both
coal mining and natural gas drilling can pollute sources of drinking water. Natural gas extraction
by hydraulic fracturing (fracking) requires large amounts of water and all thermal power plants,
including those powered by coal, gas, and oil, withdraw and consume water for cooling. Biomass
and geothermal power plants, like coal- and natural gas-fired power plants, require water for
cooling. In addition, hydroelectric power plants impact river ecosystems both upstream and
downstream from the dam. However, NREL's 80 percent by 2050 renewable geothermal, found
that water withdrawals would decrease 51 percent to 58 percent by 2050 and water consumption
would be reduced by 47 percent to 55 percent renewable energy study, which included biomass
and geothermal, found that water withdrawals would decrease 51 percent to 58 percent by 2050
and water consumption would be reduced by 47 percent to 55 percent.

Bill Gates To Invest $2bn In Breakthrough Renewable Energy Projects

News
divestment movement – which has already persuaded more
than 220 institutions worldwide to divest – on the basis that it
would have little impact.
Instead he said there was an urgent need for “high risk”
investments in breakthrough technologies. He said that a
“miracle” on the level of the invention of the automobile was
necessary to avoid a climate catastrophe and that current
renewables are not yet close to being able to meet projected
energy needs by 2030. Gates told the Financial Times that the
only way current technology could reduce global emissions is at
“a beyond astronomical cost” and that innovation is the only
way to reach a positive scenario.

Bill Gates has announced he will invest $2bn (£1.3bn) in
renewable technologies initiatives, but rejected calls to
divest from the fossil fuel companies that are burning
carbon at a rate that ignores international agreements to
limit global warming. Could this be the world's most efficient
solar electricity system? Speaking to the Financial Times,
Gates said that he would double his current investments in
renewables over the next five years in a bid to “bend the
curve” on tackling climate change. The Bill and Melinda
Gates Foundation, lead by Gates and his wife, is the world’s
largest charitable foundation.
According to the charity’s most recent tax filings in 2013, it
currently has $1.4bn invested in fossil fuel companies,
including BP, responsible for the Deepwater Horizon oil spill
in the Gulf of Mexico. Gates dismissed the calls of the fossil
fuel

Maximising Your Capital
GROWTH
We at Anderson Capital Management contribute and place our
efforts to help maximise the return and yields on behalf of our
clients. We reduce the overall risk through diversification in
alternatives in contrast to the more traditional ways of investing
such as stocks and shares, ISA’s, bonds, pension funds & unit
trusts.
Through our research and due-dilligence we feel it is necessary
for investors to have a safety net in place in form of a quarterly
income. This also acts as a shield against any volatility
surrounding the marketplace. The percentage of annual growth
available at Anderson Capital Management also outperforms the
rates of interest being offered by high street banks and lenders.
We feel that hand selected alternatives with realistic growth
goes far further than highly speculative and high return
investment vehicles which in some cases can prove to show
negative results. We feel it is important to maximise growth as
much as possible.

Surge In Renewable Energies Helps
Control Output Of Greenhouse Gas
Emissions
Falling coal use in China and the US and a worldwide shift towards renewable energy
have kept greenhouse gas emissions levels low for a second year running, one of the
world’s leading energy analysts has said. Preliminary data for 2015 from the
International Energy Agency (IEA) showed that carbon dioxide emissions from the
energy sector have levelled off at 32.1bn tonnes even as the global economy grew
over 3%.
Electricity generated by renewable sources played a critical role, having accounted for
around 90% of new electricity generation in 2015. Wind power produced more than
half of all new electricity generation. The figures are significant because they prove to
traditionally sceptical treasuries that it is possible to grow economies without
increasing climate emissions. In the 40 years in which the IEA has reported on CO2
emissions, there have been only four short periods in which emissions stood still or fell
compared to the previous year. Three of those — the early 1980s, 1992 and 2009
came in periods of economic crisis. But the new stall in emissions comes amid
economic expansion.
According to the International Monetary Fund, global GDP grew by 3.4% in 2014 and
3.1% in 2015.

WIND TURBINE &
SOLAR FUND
We value the capital of our clients dearly. We believe that straight
forward thinking and hassle free investing plays a significant part in
everyday investing. Through having a direct in house fund we are
closely able to monitor our projects closely without having to go
through third parties creating additional and unnecessary work.
Without the complications of accreditations and processes it
simplifies the way we invest. All capital placed is directly held with
Anderson Capital Management. These are applicable to the
ownership specifically relating to wind and solar energy.
The ownership of bio-fuels and bio-mass comes in tangible forms
of ownership. All capital placed into wind energy and solar energy
is being raised for the purchases of 10KW Air Force 10 wind
turbines and for the purchase of solar panels to be placed on
various farms throughout the world. All payments are made
directly to the client on a quarterly basis on the percentage as
shown in the literature by Anderson Capital Management.
Ownership of renewable energies bought through the fund will be
specified on a certificate clearly specifying the trade amount and
particulars. Investors have the choice at the end of the investment
term to decide if they wish to exit or continue with the investment
for a greater length or period of time. We ensure and take
maximum responsibility to eliminate and keep any level of risk to a
minimum. The amount of investors is uncapped in our fund and the
average company raising funds for renewable energies equates to
approximately £30 billion per annum.
