Eye Camp – Dr. Agarwal’s Eye Hospitals, Chennai

Synopsis

Group Operations of India

GOI believe in people and their values. The CommunityDevelopment team in Chennai felt the need to conduct thiscamp for the benefit of everybody working in ACES Chennai.

This is the first time that in ACES Chennai we have been ableto organize a free Eye check up for everybody’s benefit. Weare all aware that eye is one of the most important organs inour body. Day in and day out we are in front of the monitor beit home or at work. The need for an eye check up was felt andit was negotiated with Dr Agarwal’s Eye Hospital at Chennai toconduct a free eye check up camp for 10 days.

The camp was focused in providing free check up andproviding Do’s and Don’ts to protect the eye and wasconducted from 31 st August 2009 till 10 th of September 2009.

It was a grand success to see that close to 1450 persons benefited by the eye check camp. The camp eventuallymobilized lots of names for donation of their eyes.

T hanks to the 43 volunteers in Raheja and Olympia who

“ Made it happen ”. They did a fantastic job of streamliningthe flow of persons and ensured that the camp was smooth.Many of our colleagues have expressed through feed back thatthe arrangements were good and very well organized and feltthat the camp should continue year after year. It was a verysatisfying experience from the Community development team.

Tips or small eye moments (exercise) can be given since we sit in front of the PC for more than 8 hours. 1 st time it is launched and it isreally good.
