On 12/12/2017, R. B. Narayanrao Borawake College, Shrirampur, successfully

completed the event of Tree Plantation under the National Service Scheme at college campus.

The Volunteers initially dig out and then planted trees.

The plantation programme was inaugurated by planting a tree by Hon. Sau. Minatai

Jagdhane, Prin. Dr. K. H. Shinde, all HODs, the teaching and non-teaching staff members,

students have actively participated in the programme and total 80 trees have planted. We have

planted various types of trees.

NSS programme officers Dr. S. P. Khilari, Dr. D. D. Shende and Dr. S. R. Chavan took

great efforts to conduct programme smoothly. NSS students participated actively in the

programme.

systems are being developed, and highly automated vehicles with increasingly autonomous

Swachh Bharat Rally was organized on the occasion of Birth Anniversary of Mahatma

Gandhi on 2nd

October 2015. The statue of Mahatma Gandhi was garlanded at the auspicious

hands of Prin. Dr. K. H. Shinde.

All the HODs, teaching staff, non-teaching staff and the students were present on this occasion.

by distributing Til- Gul. Prin. Dr. K. H. Shinde, R. B. Narayanrao Borawake College,

Shrirampur and Dr. N. C. Pawar were present.

Makar Sankranti is a huge cultural event in several parts of India making it one of the

most vibrant festivals of the country. Maharashtra is one of the states that celebrate Makar

Sankranti with great enthusiasm and devotion. Til gul is one of the main food items that mark the

festivities during Makar Sankranti in Maharashtra. These little sweet balls made from sesame

seeds and jiggery. It is exchanged between friends and family members on the occasion on the

auspicious event. This exchange is often accompanied by saying out the phrase "til gul ghya, god

god bola" which roughly translates as "have til gul, speak sweetly".

‘Disaster management’ was organized by R. B. Narayanrao Borawake College,

Shrirampur under the National Service Scheme (NSS) to create the awareness about the right to

vote among the youngsters to avoid (i.e. prevention) or to limit (i.e. mitigation and preparedness)

adverse effects of disasters in the pre-disaster phase and post disaster stage like Response, Relief,

Recovery, and Reconstruction.

The programme successfully conducted under the guidance of Prin. Dr. K. H. Shinde,

NSS programme officers Dr. S. P. Khilari, Dr. D. D. Shende and Dr. S. R. Chavan took efforts.

NSS volunteers actively participated in the programme.

Title of Activity: Socio-Economic Survey in Nipani Vadgaon

Date: 18/12/2015





NSS unit, R. B. Narayanrao Borawake College, Shrirampur organized Socio-Eco Survey

in adopted Village at Nipani Vadgaon with the provided questionnaire on 18/12/2015.

Socio-economic survey was designed to collect information as a means of improving

understanding of local resource management systems. Survey provided information on

interaction with the government decision-making systems and community perceptions of trends

and priority issues.
