Constitution of IEEE-VBIT SB 2013
IEEE-VBIT Student Branch has an outstanding history. Since its inception the Student Branch has been setting its own milestone every year and has been performing to achieve it. There is a continuous growth in the number of new members joining with the slope of retention rate increasing each year. The IEEE-VBIT SB begun with 42 student members but in the span of time it had spread its wings by forming the following societies and Affinity Group.
1) Computer Society (CS) 2) Communication Society (ComSoc) 3) Power& Energy Society (PES) 4) Women In Engineering Affinity Group (WIE) 5) Membership Development Committee
Now the total membership of Student Branch being 150 with the honor of winning many awards like Outstanding Student Branch (Section Level), Vibrant Student Branch (Section Level), MGM Award, Richard E. Merwin and Darrel Chong Award. Not only the SB but also the student members of IEEE-VBIT SB have achieved and made themselves recognized at college and session level.
All these achievements of the student branch are a result of collective efforts of its dedicated executive committee members. As per the rules stipulated by IEEE for a student branch, the executive committee must be passed on to the successive batch of students every year. Before declaring the Constitution, the eligible candidates have to follow some certain procedure.
5th April 2013: Call for nominations 10th April 2013: Deadline for nominations 3rd May 2013: Declaration of constitution - 2013.
First the candidate nominates for the desired post and then through the selection process carried out by the Branch Counselor and the Constitution members of 2012 elects the Excom -2013 from the nominees in consideration to their achievements and their dedication towards their duties.
Hence there are 29 executive committee seats in the IEEE-VBIT SB that are filled up by the nominated candidates for the present Constitution of 2013.

The main agenda of the activity was to extract the technical knowledge present in each of the student and to provide them with a platform to exhibit it. A video was played which illustrates a problem. A time gap of 7mins is given to the participants to analyze the video once it is stopped.
Participants are grouped into two. Each of them portrayed their respective solutions. The
best technical solution which is logical too was awarded.
The solution should be precise, Technical and should overcome ambiguity.
The one which could attain the above said terms is considered to be the best one.
Students actively took part in the activity and exhibited their technical skills through which many vital solutions were obtained.
Thus, the event found it’s importance.
The pictures shown below illustrates the quality of the activity conducted.

AVISHKAR-2K14 REPORT ON AVISHKAR 2K14, INTRA ROUND
AVISHKAR - Engineering Inventions, imparts great opportunity to consolidate and review the theoretical knowledge that students implement in their upcoming engineering life. It is a unique paper presentation competition for the first year undergraduates which helps them achieve the true objectives of the technical related issues and also upgrades their knowledge in technical field.
Having been set up almost a decade ago, it wasn’t as tough for VBIT as it was for other institutions to crawl, up the order, in the best colleges’ list. IEEE Student Branch has had its silent yet strong influence in upbringing the prestige. Vignana Bharathi Institute of Technology is the only college in whole of Asia-Pacific (R10) region to introduce such technical platform to the first year undergraduates. The institution encourages the individual to get rid of their hidden fear in facing the crowd and come out as confident individuals. The main motto of AVISHKAR is to train the first year students on the standards and formats of presenting an IEEE paper.

AVISHKAR-2K14
REPORT ON AVISHKAR 2K14, INTER ROUND
AVISHKAR - Engineering Inventions, imparts great opportunity to consolidate and review the theoretical knowledge that students implement in their upcoming engineering life. It is a unique paper presentation competition for the first year undergraduates, which helps them achieve the true objectives of the technical related issues and also advances their knowledge in the technical field.
Having been set up about a decade ago, it wasn’t as tough for VBIT as it was for other institutions to crawl, up the order, in the best colleges’ list. IEEE Student Branch has had its silent yet strong influence in upbringing the prestige. Vignana Bharathi Institute of Technology is the only college in the whole of Asia-Pacific (R10) region to introduce such technical platform to the first year undergraduates. The institution encourages the individual to get rid of their hidden fear of confronting the crowd and walk out as confident individuals with flying colors. The primary motto of AVISHKAR is to train the first year students on the standards and formats of presenting an IEEE paper.
