INTRODUCTION

This catalog is the fourth in a new series designed to list thecurrent holdings of the Mantor Library at Farmington State College inthe field of special education. The category of Sensory Disorders,Speech Defects and Physical Handicaps covers a wide and vabied field. However, we have found some similarities which seem to indicate thatsuch a category is useful for undergraduate students.

The Department of Special Education expects to issue a laterbulletin which will list the holdings in the area of speech and hearing. This bulletin becomes desirable and useful with the addition of programsfor the training of public school speech correctionists and for thetraining of teachers of the deaf.

As with the previous bulletins which have been issued this yearlisting the special education holdings, it is expected that periodicsupplements will he igcnati.

Grateful appreciation is extended to the staff of the Mantor Librarydnd iv afagy for their exiensivt-s assistance.
