FROM THE PASTOR’S DESK…
It is hard to believe that summer is over and that the fall season has begun! I believe that the final four months of the year are going to be great months here at First Baptist Church. Please pause right now while you are reading this article and ask God to do a tremendous work in this church throughout the remainder of the year. Additionally, tell God that you are available to be used of Him in any way that He desires to use you.
Make sure that you reserve Sunday, September 27 on your calendar. This will be the 165th anniversary of First Baptist Church. What an exciting day that will be as we celebrate together God’s blessings upon this church. It will be a day where we will also recommit ourselves to what God has in store for us in the coming years ahead.
I am looking forward to seeing you this Sunday as we honor the Lord on His Day!
Rod Salmon Minister of Music
Tell Somebody! Thank you CHOIR & ORCHESTRA for all your hard work, and the wonderful job you did in
presenting “Tell Somebody”! It is an incredible blessing to share the gospel message in song every
week here at FBC!
The amount of God gifted, talented singers and musicians here at FBC is absolutely amazing! Thank you Lord for blessing us so much!
We are still asking The Lord to send us adults of all ages, including college students and high school students, to join the choir and help us Wednesdays and Sundays to lead our people to worship Him!
Join us this coming Wednesday at 6:30 pm! September 2 choir goes back to 6:00-7:30 pm!

Sunday School is a vital part of the life of the church. We plan opportunities throughout the year to encourage and help equip our Sunday School leadership. This year we have scheduled one of the
top Sunday School consultants in the country to meet with us. Josh Hunt will be here Sunday, September 13th. He will meet our Sunday School
leadership for training beginning at 4:00pm and will lead an additional session for the entire church at 6:00pm.
Watch for more information.
