Font

The font here is all sans serif which gives it more of a masculine vibe, which links in with the main image on this magazine. The main story is bold and much bigger than the rest of the text to portray that as the actual cover story that everybody should read. The fonts all using the rule of the thirds which is conventional. All the fonts are also quite ordered, which goes with the image as they’re not scattered or cluttered. Colour

The colours of the main image are quite low key to keep it more masculine and more mysterious, the colour of their clothes are also dark, which goes in with the setting and keeps the mysterious stylish look. The colour of the colour story ‘The Jonas Brothers’ is in blue which is a manly colour which matches the artists, the ‘Step Up’ underneath it is a different colour which contrasts to the blue text above it.

Language

The language on the front cover has a formal tone to it, but is also quite casual. ‘Chart Heat’ is quite informal which will appeal to the younger target audience, this represents the main image as also being formal but causal and goes well with the main image as they are quite young too.

Language

The language appeals to the younger audience as it’s informal and casual. ‘A Cagey Match’ will appeal to the younger audience as it’s more informal.

Images

The three images at the top are all close ups to see who’s included in this magazine, they’re all represented as quite casual and cool, this is conventional for this magazine genre as they’re all mixed genres which will attract more people. The wide shot at the bottom represents this band as quite a formal band by the way they look, they’re also much older, in their 20s which will appeal to the older target audience. They’re all wearing clothes that fits their age and ethnicity, for example the man in the first image at the top is wearing quite gangster-type clothes, and has dreadlocks which is quite stereotypical for his ethnicity. The 3rd image at the top

of this is an older man with a guitar and a cowboy hat which you can tell will be a country genre which is conventional for this mixed genre magazine, this can also appeal to people that listen to country or play guitars.

Font

The fonts on this are a mixture of serif and sans serif to appeal to both males and females, which is conventional as the images on this are males and females. The ‘Contents’ is at the top and is much larger which is conventional for magazines. The blue colours appeal to the more male audience as it’s more of a masculine colour. The ‘Contents’ is also modern which will appeal to the younger audience.

Colour

The colour on this is a mixture of feminine and masculine colours (blue and pink) so will appeal to both genders. The blue stripes will appeal to more males, which links in with some of the images and some of the images are of males. The blue typography also matches the other colour son the page and goes well with it all. The pink on the ‘NO1’ contrasts with the blue and shows us that it’s for males and females.

Language

The language is informal, which will appeal to the younger target audience. ‘He’s well lush’ will appeal to the younger females, and is informal casual language. This links in as the boys (The Jonas Brothers) are young as well.

Images

The wide shot image shows all the band members on the stage singing, their body language shows that they’re young informal and that their music genre is pop rock, as one of the members is holding a guitar, one of them is on a piano, and one of them is singing. The costumes are all white, which shows purity and innocence, this makes them stand out more as singers, and the look of the band will go together.

Font

The fonts are all serif, which generally appeal to a target audience of females, who would want to read an article about this popular band. The headline is larger than the rest of the article, which is conventional and shows us what the article is mainly about.

Colour

The colour of the fonts are all a purpely pink, which attracts and appeals to the younger female audience. The image colour is a low key colour, which makes them stand out more as artists, as their outfits are white, which contrats with the set lighting. The white of their clothes also matches the piano on the stage.
